Your Home in Calangute Liked · Half Hotel is an outstanding lodging opportunity that should be your home in Calangute. I spent seven nights there and everything went well. Architecturally, the hotel is modern with much glass and a pleasing connection between the interior and exterior. The wifi is very reliable and fast. The rooms are diverse and well appointed. I stayed in a well priced single room that made “small” perfectly comfortable with its well positioned electrical outlets, comfortable bed, and good storage. The free breakfasts are outstanding with a range of eggs, bread, beverages, etc. Also there are revolving, daily Indian dishes included in addition to the daily selections. Service is fast and you will not leave hungry. Charles, the owner, and his excellent staff are always available and happy to assist you with any questions or difficulties. I definitely look forward to returning.

I can't say enough good things about this stay - the staff was phenomenal and treated me like a queen. They were so friendly and helpful, had everything I could possibly need, and made sure that I was safe throughout the entire stay. I couldn't recommend this place enough, especially if you're a solo female traveler!

After going through the old reviews, I was hesitant and even considered cancelling my reservation. However, after learning that the hotel has now been taken over and managed by Meritas Hotels & Resorts, I decided to give it a chance—and I’m glad I did. A special thanks to Ms. Teresa, who was extremely kind and transparent in explaining the changes under the new management. Everything she committed to was delivered without compromise. Subid deserves a mention too—he is very active in ensuring the property is spotless, and overall the staff here are courteous, helpful, and genuinely eager to serve. The property is centrally located in Calangute, making it convenient to explore the beaches, markets, and nearby attractions. The experience feels upgraded and far better than what the older reviews reflect. I can confidently say that the management transition has made a remarkable difference, and I would recommend staying here if you’re planning a trip to North Goa.

Not just calangute...entire north goa is a hype in the social media. Terrible traffic and congested roads...you will waste most of your time travelling. Even 2km distance takes 30 o 40 mins . Very noisy beaches with filthy food and drinks overcharged and simply looting the tourists. Always check the price of the food and drinks in case you decide to eat something from the beach restaurants. Conclusion - south goa is the best and agoda fort/beach truly picturesque. Stay in south and just visit 1 or 2 beaches in the north preferably in the early hours (6 to 7am) and come back.

Calangute/Baga was very vibrant, it's busy but it has a great vibe, the bars along the beach are great and a must see place in the evening. I visited a number of cities during my trip in India and Goa is a city you must see!

Calangute beach crowded during evening time with lot of music in the background from beach shacks, especially near the main entrance . If you prefer less crowd, then move away from main beach entrance by at least half a kilometre on the beach. The beach visit should be in your must visit place list. There's multiple options for food & drinks. If one feel about harsh sunlight, then suggest you to visit either early morning or late in the evening, to spent time in beach

Beaches are ok, should be taken care of cleaning time to time... Restaurant ls are good, food was amazing, specially Anthony & Britos, must try Fat Fish restaurant's Fish Thali🤤 Goa has become little expensive but Alcohol & food is still affordable.

If you are going to visit north goa and searching for budget friendly hotel then this hotel is best for you , resort dont have many facilities but care taker and reception guy is excellent , parking is available, calangute beach and candolim beach are 2-3 km away and bagha becah is 1.3 km away. I got this hotel in 5700 for 5 days so check your price before selecting

Hotel Orfil is best if you are in North Goa. Calangute beach is at a walkable distance. The rooms are spacious and clean, with double bed, AC, 2 side desks, 3 cushioned chairs, 1 table, towels, neat bathroom with hot n cold water shower, and everything of comfort. I was delighted to see the hotel rooms.
