5 star stay! I had a great time staying here because the room was comfortable and the hospitality of the grandfather and grandmother at the house were courteous, especially the grandmother who is very hospital to me. It's a very close to the harbor and I get to enjoy evening night out in the area to watch the sea. Even though there's hot water in the bathroom but unfortunately it really is ever hot but mostly cold, due to them having no normal water heater but a tiny one, which does not allow hot water to actually come through. As a result, the shower is mostly cold. Other than this imperfection, everything else was very homey. And even though there's no electrical water heater in the room, they have no issues of bringing me a flask a water bottle for the day. Accommodating, clean and a home-y experience. There is a tiny hiccup at the end that is the payment issue. Because the website has shown me my due exactly and when I paid exactly as per the receipt , they had asked for more monies from me. Apparently there are two prices shown to me and the host from the website that led to a small misunderstanding. It's resolved in the end however, The host honored the prices that I'm supposed to pay after all. I want to give special thanks to the grandmother because there was this one day I caught a cold and she made special Ginger water for me with honey and she did that twice in that day so I felt better later on. And occasionally she brings me a little food and I appreciate this kindness very much. I recommend this place to travelers who are looking for a home-y and welcoming place during their traveling days. Wonderful experience 🌈🌿✨

SeaCoast Inn FortKochi, hotel in Fort Kochi

Offering a garden and a shared lounge, SeaCoast Inn FortKochi in Fort Kochi is close to Fort Kochi Beach and Kochi Biennale.

The Facilities - beds, linens, bathroom, furniture - were all new and of excellent quality, and beautiful! Host - Shaan- is exceptionally thoughtful and helpful. He made sure we were comfortable in the room and gave us advice on what to see and do based on our interests and requests. He recommended great places to eat/drink, see, and shop for what we were looking for. It was like having a friend there. 🩷 Shaan provided unlimited bottled water free of charge and the breakfast served every morning on the rooftop patio was delicious! Location was perfect also. Next to fort kochi’s highlights but on a cul de sac, and therefore quiet.

I love the heritage structures around this area. Each lane I went was so unique and beautiful with it's own story . I could just walk all day long and yet I wouldn't get tired. One can walk around without much difficulty. People are extremely friendly and polite. There are scores of places to sit and eat be sea food continental or the local cuisines.

I liked the cute little streets, the many restaurants and cafes. I liked the fishing that was being done. I liked the ferries that were fun to go on and amazingly cheap. I liked that we could so easily rent bicycles to ride around on. I like the Art show that was on. We went on a couple of bicycle rides, down the coast and up the middle of the island - the main roads were busy but the small narrow roads were lovely to go on. We also biked up north - it was Christmas day so not much on the roads.

A busy bustling town with lots to see and do from watching the Chinese fishing nets to visiting the Jewish quarter . There is a multitude of museums and galleries to visit and the Kathikal night is a must. Eating and drinking is varied and of a high standard with prices to suit any budget. If you can avoid getting picked up by a tuk tuk driver who wants to show you the sights you will realise everything is in walking distance anyway. A great place for a couple of nights we travelled by bus from Cheria beach to the ferry terminal and caught the continuous ferry to Fort Kochi all for under 60 rupees for 2 people .

A historic part of the city.

A historic part of the city. Watch out for scams - local autorickshaw drivers will take you to "government-approved" showrooms that sell shawls, carpets, and handicrafts at extremely inflated prices, targeting unsuspecting tourists.
