The city has high air pollution. It is the gateway to all the prominent northeast locations. Not a city worth taking a long halt. Two nights are decent enough the leave for shillong or Nagaland. Take a tour to Brahmaputra river front.

A very lively and bustling city.
A very lively and bustling city. Not too crowded like other Indian cities, with a population of around 1.50 million. Friendly people, good mobility options, some very picturesque locations within a range of 40 kms from the city. And, did not find too many beggars on the streets. Sensible driving . Most FoBs have escalator facilities motivating pedestrians to use the foot over bridges. Something other bigger cities need to emulate.
Drove around 500 kms in Assam. Was amazed to find most towns and villages garbage free.

Guwahati is a bit crowded city located in north east India.
Guwahati is a bit crowded city located in north east India. The main town of north east India. The connection with rest of India is preety good. An international airport (LGBI Airport), Two railway stations (Guwahati and Kamakhya) and a Bus Terminus. Construction works are preety slow. Travelling through the cuty might be bit time consuming becouse of slow buses. But in recent times, this has improved a lot. For rest if India, Guwahati might appear to be bit slow but the hospitality and honesty of local people can win hearts of many people. So do visit Guwahati if possible.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Treebo Tryst D' Agneedeep, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet conveniently close to major attractions. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout my stay.
Excellent host and an awesome experience with Queens residency staff and team. So polite and energetic team ready to answer any questions and services. Food was excellent with homely taste. I have stayed in multiple hotels in Guwahati but Queens residency was the most memorable in terms of pricing, food. I really did not wanted to checkout due to the homely feeling there. Highly recommended to family and solo travellers. Most importantly it's located in a good location and away from pollution and all. Keep up the excellent work.
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Spring Brook! The room was clean and well-furnished, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was a great start to my day. The location is also convenient, with plenty of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Guwahati.
Very bad experience. At first the manager told that there is a booking. Thn whn called for the 2nd time to the hotel, he said that there is no booking confirmation. Gave my confirmation ID and PIN. But still same answer that no booking from booking.com for the Hotel SJ International, Guwahati.
Surprisingly, till now still booking is shown here in booking.com.
Everything was good.
Every morning national indian light breakfast.
Outside in main road too much noise but this is everywhere in India. Mintu with second man pay attention for all things. Near hotel city center. Highly Recommended this hotel for tourists. From hotel to Guwahati Airport by taxi takes 1 hour.

Everything about the hotel and its staff is great. Good food, fantastic hospitality. They know how to treat their guests. I would recommend this hotel to everyone travelling to guwahati. Chef Aminul, Boys Paresh Deka, and all the reception staff... Cheers to all of you. Thanks for hosting us this well.
The breakfast spread is excellent and has a lot of options. However, they did not have the options for vegan milk. They could do better in meeting dietary requirements (to better serve those with any food allergy). The rooms are clean and spacious. Overall, a very good place to stay in Guwahati.
Great location. We really loved the character of the hotel. The restaurant was fantastic and staff was friendly and helpful. The best stay ever. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy.
I like nothing about this hotel, the worst hotel of guwahati city even the staffs are also nonsense. My first ever worst experience.
Hotel manager didn't bother about your problem after you pay the rent. Simply horrible hotel room and pathetic staffs.

Very good guest house, excellent service and good management. Nice place along with quick room service. Car service is also provided when needed. Would definitely stay in this hotel again in future .
Location and cleanliness and helping and supporting nature of staff . They help us to carry our luggage to room. Really next time if visit Guwahati love to stay here again if possible.
