The actual destination was Gandikota Canyon.

The actual destination was Gandikota Canyon. One of the most beautiful places I have seen in India. The gorge is extremely beautiful and scenic. The campsite was perfectly placed on the edge of the gorge. In the vicinity are the Gandikota Fort, Big Tank, Juma Masjid, Charminar (yes!), Jail & Rangunathanswamy Temple, Madhavaraya Swamy Temple - these have fine architecture and interesting history and you can surely visit once although it will not take you a very long time to look around. A little farther away (about 70km / 2 hours) is the Belum Caves - a must-visit-site!
