United StatesThe room was spacious. The view was on the lush greenery. The manager was super friendly, the staff was amazing. They gave me a welcome chai and the best room, and allowed me to use the meeting room downstairs. They also accommodated my 6:30 am departure and gave me a packed breakfast. Also, their dining hall is a work of art, beautiful and comfortable both during the day and in the evening when the music is playing and the lights are twinkling in tune. They also have a bar there. It was really relaxing and pleasant to stay one night.

From the moment we landed at Bagdogra, the owner, Mr Swaroop Chakraborty, kept in touch to check on our journey. He sent an Innova for the six of us, and the driver was an expert at mountain driving, making our transfers and sightseeing comfortable and worry-free.
Manager: Kushal Thapa and his team of six looked after us like family. Their care and attention here went far beyond what even higher-graded hotels offer. Kushal and his team anticipated our needs, particularly for our 3 senior companions, always with a smile, and stayed one step ahead of their needs.
Birthday celebs: A highlight of our stay was my father’s birthday. Upon learning this, Mr Chakraborty and Kushal arranged a wonderful surprise on the terrace—with a bonfire, music, and a celebration involving all the staff. Kushal sang beautifully, and everyone else participated. My father was overjoyed, and it felt entirely genuine, not staged for formality.
Food: Consistently impressive. Since mobility was a concern for the senior set, most meals were enjoyed at the hotel. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented, except for one or two minor misses which were likely my own ordering error.
Housekeeping: Rooms were spotless, and the hotel itself is spacious and clean. It’s remarkable how smoothly Kushal manages operations with a small team. Service, mainly handled by two young staff under his guidance, was attentive, resilient, and 24X7. Any minor slips were easily overshadowed by their dedication and quiet efficiency.
Internet connection was strong throughout
Location The view of Kanchenjunga from every room was breathtaking. Kushal even arranged lunch on the terrace—it was pure bliss to dine leisurely while gazing at the snowcapped peaks.
In short, Deolo Mist Hotel offers far more than a stay—it’s a warm, personalised experience that blends comfort, care, and genuine hospitality.

Quieter than Darjeeling wonderful views and buddhist temples. The town was bustling but is not very well maintained by the West Bengal Government and the city; eg open garbage dumps and strewn in many places. Wonderful mix of ethnic groups. A good base to explore the Himalayan foothills. Has potential as a tourist hub but still some way from an eco-tourism sensibility. Mostly tourists from the plains of Bengal and other parts of India.

Staying at Blue bell has been the best stay for us in kalimpong. Hotel was fantastic, well equipped with required amenities, hospitality was marvelous. Specially the owner Mr. Soumya was awesome. I would Personally suggest all if you prefer calm, quite atmosphere and prefer to enjoy me time, this is the best place to stay. My family loved it. Food is extremely reasonable, on time service and very good taste.. scenic beauty is all around because of the balcony the rooms have.. entire kalimpong city view and if weather permits you get the view of kanchanjunga here... please do visit Blue bell.

As I visited kalingpong this time mainly for Adventure...
As I visited kalingpong this time mainly for Adventure sports...both paragliding and Teesta white water rafting and had very little time to see the town once again. Nevertheless, the beauty of kalingpong, delo hill, durpin monestry side hill all are mesmerizing. It's a must visit place for both adventure sports enthusiasts and leisure tourism

It is a beautiful town with better visibility and weather. kalimpong is less crowded and therefore easier to move around. However, there are not too many interesting sightseeing places here except for Delo Park, which is pretty nice.

Very beautiful city you can experience local food, shopping...
Very beautiful city you can experience local food, shopping is reasonable price. Market is good everything is available. One day I needed a doctor as my daughter was ill and we got a doctor easily. For drinkers foreign liquor is easily available from off shops. Traffic is high but each and everyone maintain traffic rules even police is also very supportive. I took a wrong U turn police stopped and asked me where I want to go. I politely replied and they showed me the way. They didn't fine me. They are co operative. Please follow trafic rules there dont overtake and wait for your turn.

We enjoyed the vibe of kalimpong.
We enjoyed the vibe of kalimpong. It’s quieter which is nice. The place we stayed made a huge difference. We had a good view from the property and we had amazing hosts that guides us well and arranged a good tour guide. All of this really helped and made us fall in love with Kalimpong and it’s people.
