CanadaThis was my first time at this hotel and I was absolutely blown away with the exceptional service me and my Mum received at this hotel. We were welcomed with a Kokum drink followed by a warm welcome by the reception desk. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped with all the necessities. Room service and the restaurant staff were quite pleasant to deal with. Huge thanks and shout out to the hotel staff Abhijeet, Suraj & Sakharam who looked into every detailed necessity of ours making sure there was no room for complaints. Except for 1 very minor suggestion of not having a hand held shower facility (as not always you want your hair wet) in the washroom, I honestly don't have a single bad thing to talk about this place and no wonder it stands as a top notch hotel in Kolhapur. I shall definitely make this as my only go to stop whenever Im in town.

I was in Kolhapur for a family marriage function. I needed a comfortable place where my wife could be cared for as she needs assistance for walking and the hotel went out of the way to make her feel nice and comfortable. The food was good and the staff very courteous.

We reached Kolhapur in evening and Ellora caves needs time to explore so we could not go but 500 Mts before Ellora Caves there is 12th Jyotirlinga....Ghrishweshwar Mahadev...When we visited the temple, surprisingly there was no crowd and were directly allowed to enter the Garbha Griha and touch the ShivaLinga which is unlike other Jyotirlinga.

Kolhapur is famous for Mahalakshmi temple. It is famous for health tour also. Business centre. It is midway between Mumbai and Sirsi/Kumta and other places. Therefore good place to break journey for a night after devi darshan.

The place, the atmosphere, the people and there positive gesture. Food is also ultimate of tambada pandhra, but don't even think to book a hotel namely Treebo sai in kolhapur..... it' s a nightmare.

Primary purpose of the visit was to visit Mahalakshmi Temple. This is the main attraction of this city.
Roads leading to the temple are narrow. May be better to commute by Auto than car. The autorickshaw drivers are quite reasonable and don't overcharge.

You can get around Kohlapur using Autos, no point using your car to move around, as the streets are over crowded and find a parking spot is a pain
