This was by far the best place we stayed at in Kerala! The entire staff was very kind and welcoming, and it is visible how well they work as a team. The service was excellent, the rooms are spacious, sparkling clean and high quality finishes and furniture, and the entire building is designed with the best taste for architecture and interior design. Congratulations and hats off to the owners! Besides the accommodation, the landscape of the garden is inviting and relaxing, having kept the original trees layout and hence the nests of all kinds of birds that enchant you with their symphony before the sunrise. We had access to the pool in the evening after our arrival and it was very relaxing. There were also some fireflies flying over our heads while swimming. Food was extraordinary! Such unusual flavours we could have never imagined...We had kingfish with curry & lemon rice & aloo gobi masala - simply delicious. We had the privilege to meet the cook herself :) We had great conversations with Joseph, the hotel manager - a kind-hearted person, and also with Ramesh, part of the staff, who was very kind to explain to us different aspects of the Indian culture. Sounds like a fairytale but it actually happened and we will definitely come back here if we get the chance!

We really enjoyed our stay at Telma Beach Homestay! Mr. Martin and Mrs. Telma were terrific hosts. The home-cooked food was delicious, our rooms were very comfortable, and it was close to the beach. We highly recommend staying at Telma Beach Homestay!

Very lovely choice for Marari Beach. The rooms and the property are very very well maintained. Everything was super clean and the host and his family are very friendly, polite and took very good care of us. The room has hot shower and AC. They also offer laundry service which was THE BEST😍 When you first arrive, google maps is a little confusing: the first time you can enter through the gate of “Marari Beach Villas”. Marari Beach House is on the same property but on the back side. After check in they will show you their proper entrance and exit. It’s a 2 minute walk from the beach and perfectly located to enjoy the beach AND having some time out away from the heat. The garden and surrounding of the room are blooming and you can relax in the hammocks. It’s like a little beautiful jungle. (Bring mosquito repellent for sunrise and sunset time ;-)) They also provide breakfast and dinner. The breakfast option is VERY convenient, bc the restaurants and shops here open a bit later (around 11:00). It’s perfect for a quick visit or a long term stay. We loved our stay!

The remoteness means little amenities like restaurants and shops. Come prepared with some snacks and supplies. A large resort hotel and some smaller ones, along with homestay, but little else for the independent traveller

    Great area - a little away from the hustle & bustle of other areas so it is quieter. The beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. Easy to get transport to other areas for more activity - close to backwater tours etc. Only limitation is perhaps lack of eating out options within walking area, best to have hotel with restaurant otherwise will need to travel by tuk tuk or taxi.

    The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the beach had no chairs, shade or umbrellas making it very difficult to stay very long. The surrounding area was not good to stroll around. The massage treatments are a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away and are quite expensive for India £34. We have been paying £15 previously.

    I was at much trouble due to the stay at Mararikulam due to booking at Spot On Sb Cruise, Aleppey (There is no such property). So I was to search for another property with the help of some Good Local peoples and by their efforts, I got a place to sleep.

    I like very much all areas of Mararikulam, I think it is cleaner than other places. The beach is amazing and magical, people are very kind. it is a paradise on earth, unfortunately, my resort needs some restoration, especially rooms, and the swimming pool. Nature is really enchanting I was in Seclude Marari sand resort, potentially the best part of the beach but the resort needs some work. It is quite expensive for the services it offers

The Best part about the Homestay was the easy access to the Marari beach . Perfect for family who just wants to switch off their phones and unwind . Worth every penny. I personally would book the same place again if i ever visit Marari again . Highly recommend.

    This is the perfect beach stay! The property is directly in the beach and it’s like having your own little bungalow! The family that run the homestay are wonderful friendly people who go above and beyond. Exceptionally clean, and beautifully kept! Please try the home cooked food made by the lady that owns the property, her cooking is some of the best I’ve eaten in Kerala!!! Everything you need! Don’t hesitate, just book!

    The grounds of the hotel look nice, the staff are very helpful, kind and client-centric, the room is comfortable and looks like in any good 4* hotel with good amenities. The beach is great (although for swimming I recommend going 1.8-2km north by foot on the beach - smaller waves). Generally a nice place to relax, read a book etc.

    Private,beakfast and dinner to your own balkong. Greate service and helpfull staff! Big pool, also feels very private, because there is only 4 bungalow, and 1 of them is own pool. Very elegant! Long beach(50m from hotel) to walk both sides.( Meny parts of that same beach has ugly water walls..)
