Loved the location in the Portuguese area, we spent three full days exploring the immediate area and nearby - all on foot - except a trip to Old Goa by local bus. As a woman, I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe with the men they allow inside the hotel - just sitting around men sitting around lobby staring. Even at dinner at the hotel, we had the same experience - with extremely cheap men sitting around and just staring at women like we were there for their entertainment. The hotel also lies about cab services for guests, insisting that you only use cab services run by thugs - stationed outside the premises. They charge extremely high rates and are complete bullies. All you need to do is walk up the street to the high way and you can take far more reasonable cabs/ taxis - but the hotel doesnt even infrom you about this. Shows how much they value their customers and a basic level of customer service. Pathetic customer service by double tree by Hilton Panaji. Do not waste your time at this hotel.

The antique houses of Portuguese Era the small lanes still narrow as of yesteryear, I have been to this area during Christmas season and I advise everyone to go there in the first week of Christmas between the 10th to the 15th you can have lovely memories and good pictures of lighting and decorations

The food was amazing. The weather, it’s raining season in July but then it got hot and sunny. However locals, especially male Indians are no open minded about other cultures like black Africans. It’s no a place for black and female travelling solo.

They were able to explore the Goan culture, cuisine and the lifestyle having a wonderful time. To their pleasant surprise, Mr Deric gifted them a couple of bottles of nice Feni and a bottle of Rum. I can’t thank him enough. I would strongly recommend his property to anyone who truly wants to explore Goan culture and enjoy Goa:) Thanks!!

In the dining room we were well looked after by staff Khevana who remembered what we liked and the Jr. Sou-Chef Dattaguru looked after our special requests, and enjoyed our connection with Avinash.
