United StatesThis was my favorite hotel stay in India. It was affordable, clean, comfortable and provided all the amenities. The room was as soundproof as you can get- which matters when you aren’t used to the traffic noise. The restaurant offered delicious food at affordable prices, I was able to have my laundry done and enjoyed a massage at the spa(Laxmi did a great job). Every staff member was warm and accommodating and seemed to genuinely care that I enjoyed my time there. The bed was by far the most comfortable of the many places I stayed. The hotel is close to the action but set just off a main road making it more pleasant to leave the hotel on foot than being right on the busy road. When I come back to Rishikesh this is where I’m staying. Highly recommend ❤️

IndiaI stayed at Zuna Stay for about a week and a half in the family room while working remotely, and I had a really positive experience. The room has large windows that let in plenty of natural daylight, and the blackout curtains are perfect if you want to sleep in. The family room also has a comfortable sofa, which is great for relaxing after a long day.
The hotel is located on a quiet street with very little traffic, which is quite exceptional for Rishikesh.
For digital nomads: the WiFi works well—around 40 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload in the mornings and afternoons. In the evenings it can slow down a bit, but whenever there was an issue, the staff fixed it quickly, even late at night.
There’s a shared kitchen you can use, and the chef can also prepare meals for you. There’s free filtered water, the hot water is constant, and the bath towels are large and soft. Everything is very clean—you can comfortably walk around barefoot.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
The area also has plenty of nice cafés with good coffee, perfect if you want a change of scenery or need another spot to work from.
Overall, I loved my stay and I’m definitely planning to return.

Rishikesh is famous as spiritual destination… it serves the purpose to the extent but one of the major issue I would like to share is that walking trails specifically near Parmarth Ashram is full of chaos due to fast moving two wheeler in the narrow path and making horns. I think the issue can be resolved by making the path free of two wheelers which can ply on the back streets. In the good tourist spots of the world there is always free walking paths

Compared to Varanasi, the air quality in Rishikesh felt so much better, yet I could still experience the same beautiful cultural traditions, such as the daily Aarti. My favourites were walking across Ram Jhula, visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram (Beatles Ashram), and watching the sunrise at Kunjapuri Temple with stunning Himalayan views. I mostly ate at my hotel, which is set a little away from the hustle and bustle, so you do need a cab to get around—but the peaceful setting made it worthwhile.

CHOOSE ANY HOTEL TO STAY EXCEPT ISHAN HOTEL, we had bad experience and other customer’s valuable items were stolen from their room. They filed a FIR against the Ishan hotel.

I went to Rishikesh with an open mind to witness the might...
I went to Rishikesh with an open mind to witness the might of the Ganges River, see the temples and join my wife in the participation of the Aarti Ceremony. There are the local habits, roving animals and crazy traffic that may annoy a lot of visitors. But I chose to rise above those and focus on the rituals, temples, monuments, daily activities, Ashrams (retreats) and the view of the Rishikesh valley. The flow of the Ganges and the 3 cable bridges (Ram Jhulla, Lachman Julla, and Janki Jhulla), and the chanting with the ceremonies in the evenings were mesmerizing, humbling and a joy to the soul. I felt blessed to be there.

The family room is ideal for a family of four and the rooms have decent views also. The property has a private ghat and temple where one gets to witness Ganga Aarti. The food spread is good and the staff are also very helpful as they provided Jain food for my wife on our request. River rafting and Ram jhula are nearby approx 30 minutes from hotel by car. There is a small jacuzzi pool which needs to be booked early incase one wants to use it and also they have a fantastic yoga session in morning.

A beautiful, traditional, small hotel right opposite The Aarti. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Wish we’d had more time to use the spa and yoga classes. Would definitely stay longer when visiting Rishikesh again.
