I really enjoyed my stay. Parvat and his team are superb hosts! The place was super clean, well located, offered great value, and is extremely well run. Parvat goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. He offers great tours that are fairly priced and really expresses his love for the city with great recommendations and suggestions. He is an honorable guy and one of the best hosts I have had during my 5 months traveling around India.

We enjoyed this stay to the fullest! The restaurant is so good, we had all our meals there. We even got some amazing cooking lessons from Ritu, owner's mother who is in charge of the restaurant and makes amazing food. In addition she's such a caring and inspiring teacher! Karan, the owner was very nice, helpful and we had some very interesting discussions when we managed to to grab his time. Everybody else was very nice to us, they made us feel like staying with our family. The hotel is clean, the room was spacious and had a lake view. Very beautiful! When we come back to Udaipur, we'll definitely stay here again. Special thanks to: Deepak, who kept the place spotless! Himmat, who made sure we had everything we needed! Ramesh , who makes The Best Laal Maas, and was kind enough to show us how he does it! Mangi lal, who transforms Naan into an art and puts a fun spin on everything! Sohaib, who made sure our stay was enjoyable! Bhawar and Prabhu, who made the magic happen in the kitchen! Thank you all and I surely hope to see you again sometime!

Little Garden has kind, caring, and compassionate staff who look out for you and take care of your every need. Shanti cooked me a delicious breakfast every morning, greeting me with a smile. The dining room is arranged so that the various travelers all eat in a circle, so it feels communal and impossible not to make friends. Clean, luxurious room with views, it felt like I was staying in my own palace. The bathroom was immaculate, with hot water and good water pressure. The location near the city palace means you can walk to most major places of interest. I couldn't be happier with my stay.

Old city is polluted because of auto and two wheelers.

Old city is polluted because of auto and two wheelers. Authorities must ban Entry of Auto and Two wheelers rentals in the congested Old city. Two wheelers honk unnecessarily. All the shops sell items at a hyped up rates, which is not worth buying. People are very polite but the habit of eating gutka and spitting all over the place makes the city a No Go area.

One must avoid the weekends as the city is jam packed with cars from Gujrat on weekends. Enjoying the market and tourist attractions became a challenge due to overcrowding. As a city, it is a charming place and must visit at least once.

Udaipur appeared a bit more organized and clean than a few other cities we visited. The City Palace and other monuments which were under the administration of the the Royal Family seems to be well maintained despite their age. The city area, lakes and surrounds were easily accessible and beautiful for tourist visits. The Taj Lake Hotel, being an Island on its own was magical to visit for dinner after an evening cruise around the lake. Make one feel like James Bond.

If you want to see Rajasthan at peace then I highly recommend to do Udaipur and Jaisalmer. Jaipur is good but chaotic. Also, hotels are more business oriented rather than a resort meant for family vacation.

The City Palace stood out as an architectural marvel...

The City Palace stood out as an architectural marvel exploring its rich history, intricate mosaics, and stunning lake views was a highlight. We loved our sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola, which offered dreamy vistas of Jag Mandir and the surrounding hills. Saheliyon Ki Bari and the Monsoon Palace also made for memorable, peaceful outings, perfect for couples seeking romance and great photo opportunities. We tried several excellent restaurants: Upre by 1559 AD was our favorite for its rooftop ambiance and delicious Mewari cuisine. We also enjoyed the vegetarian thali at Natraj Dining Hall, and had a memorable lakeside dinner at Raaj Bagh, which combined great food with beautiful views. For a unique touch, breakfast at Millets of Mewar offered healthy and innovative local fare. Getting around is mostly easy, especially if you use ride-sharing apps like Ola or Uber for airport transfers and short city rides. Within the old city, many attractions are walkable, but some roads are narrow, so auto-rickshaws or tuk-tuks are handy for zipping through the lanes. Renting a bike is a good option if you want more flexibility, though traffic can be a bit hectic at times. Young couples will love watching the sunset or taking a private boat ride on Lake Pichola for a romantic experience. Don’t miss an evening cultural show at Bagore Ki Haveli or the Dharohar Dance Show for a lively introduction to Rajasthani folk arts. Exploring Udaipur’s colorful old city markets, enjoying rooftop dinners with city views, and visiting art galleries or pottery workshops add creative, fun, and memorable experiences to your trip. Udaipur offers a truly magical escape with history, hospitality, food, and romance at every turn making it ideal for couples and anyone seeking memorable travel moments.

all here is a rip off, the palace entry fee only lets you wonder around 30% of the property as its still a private residence, and in bad shape and need of refurbishment and all other landmarks inside need further payment, its dirty overcramped, broken roads, constant car honking, beggars and scammers, would'nt recommend udaipur to the locals not to mind the visitors

This is a very convenient hotel close to the old part of Udaipur. It is on the lake side and our room had a view across the lake from very large windows. The room was big, the bathroom could have had more space for toiletries but was fine. The staff were lovely. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it was outstanding with dishes having depth of flavour. An excellent chef! Breakfast had everything you needed and cooked dishes, both western and Indian, were all cooked fresh. A lovely place to stay.

I had the most fantastic experience at Courtyard Hotel in Udaipur which was made better by the excellent staff, who went above and beyond for us on our visit. The rooms are in immaculate condition and the house keeping staff are both friendly and excellent at their job. The BB Club and restaurant are both delicious, offering fantastic vibes! The staff at both are very considerate, even careful with our allergies. I must say, this is the best experience at a hotel we have had in India.

I had gone to Raj Shahi Villa in Udaipur, and I truly enjoyed the day. The place had such a peaceful and royal vibe, with beautiful architecture and elegant interiors that reflected the charm of Udaipur. The surroundings were calm, the hospitality was warm, and every corner of the villa had a touch of Rajasthani heritage. I especially loved how relaxing and scenic the place felt—it was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the city.

Situation, the view, staff great although a little slow getting going (much like the rest of India). Food was good, alcohol comparatively reasonable, spa is brilliant and room with balcony great. Udaipur old town is nearby but the hotel faces the North lake and is much quieter than the bustle and chaos of Lake Pichola. A hidden gem.

Stunning heritage hotel with lovely grounds, pool, and rooms. Good breakfast (the best cheese omelettes in India), very helpful staff, wonderful atmosphere, central to many key tourist sites within walking or tuktuk distance. Comfortable beds, plentiful hot water, decent wifi. What more could you ask for? Very highly recommended!
