Tucked in a corner on the banks of the river Damodar, a 5 minute drive from 58 sluice gates, this hotel is quite a pretty one with all the amenities for a weekend get-away. Thoughtful and kind service from the concierges, front desk and every staff member. Special mention to Bimal for helping with the phone situation I had, where I had not been able to hail taxis ... Sanjib and Debojyoti for their recommendations, Tanmoy and Tinisha at front desk for the room switch needed, Naser for keeping the rooms in tiptop condition. Was visiting from a Middle Eastern country where there is no shortage of 5-star hotels, but the Taj and its staff clearly put a lot of planning and organisation into the service and it was a pleasure to stay with them.
