There’s truly nothing not to love about Sajjoys. The hospitality is some of the best I’ve ever experienced—warm, professional, attentive, and heartfelt. The location is absolutely perfect—just a 2-minute walk from the cliff, tucked away on a beautiful, peaceful street. The manager goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need. The beds are insanely comfortable, the entire hotel is spotless, and the atmosphere feels both luxurious and homey. It’s incredibly safe, with reliable security in place. I’ve never felt so well taken care of. WiFi and AC work perfectly, the showers are amazing, rooms are spacious, and the pool is clean and refreshing. On top of that, the food is delicious—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all exceptional. Sajjoys is a gem—I’ll absolutely be back.

Calaila was such a wonderful surprise. The team here is incredibly welcoming. The location couldn’t be better it’s literally a one minute walk to the Cliff, and all the restaurants like Cafe Italiano and Gods own kitchen are a short walk from the stay. Beautiful rooms, calm atmosphere, and genuinely kind hosts. Would definitely return as the price was really good considering the location

I had an amazing stay at the Creditable Heritage Resort. The location is perfect—very calm and peaceful, and just a short distance from the beach. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, making it an ideal getaway. A special mention to the manager, Shayas, who was extremely helpful in planning our sightseeing activities. His hospitality made our stay even more comfortable. Highly recommended!

I was blessed that I ended up here. It is under new ownership and management. Not everything ready but everything has solution. I am female solo traveller. Felt completely comfortable and safe. Have a great single room with nice bathroom. Perfect for 1 person with simply divine view. When there was no yoga so they arranged for me 1-1 sessions on the dock. The food was delicious, authentic Keralan food. The staff were fantastic especially the manager Ravi. Very good at customer relations. The Ayurvedic massage was so superb I had another in my short 2 night trip. Next time I will take it to do much longer as the avyuredic treatments need a week. The therapist was so dedicated that in just2 treatments I felt a change. The location is sublime. So peaceful. So quiet. So pretty. Highly recommend. The yoga Shala was under short renovation but it looks to be a beautiful space to do yoga. A short 30 min auto tuk tuk to varkala beach and then back to serenity.

Beautiful views worth seeing.

Beautiful views worth seeing. However most visitors are rowdy which affects the comfort of people seeking a more down to earth experience. Restaurants often out price locals and cater to Western tastes; they seek a specific type of well put together, middle or upper class traveller. Monsoon season is likely a more relaxing time to be here with less rowdy visitors from out of town/state. Little cleanup efforts for the beaches. Bad sanitation and waste control. Waste burning unfortunately normalised.

Lovely atmosphere where you feel immediately at home. Many nice activities to meet new people like dinners together, yoga classes, games. The managers are very welcoming and helpful. The female dorm has AC and it’s very clean. The location is perfect, 5 mins from the main beach and the north cliff where you have plenty of bars and restaurants. I loved my stay here and I can’t wait to come back. I totally recommend it to any backpacker passing by Varkala looking for meaningful connections.

This Homestay is a hidden gem in Varkala. My family and I had a great stay here. The property is very close to the North Cliff area. The rooms are moderately sized, very clean and comfortable. All amenities have been taken care of by the host and her team. Breakfast served was local and delicious. Loved the ambiance and the peace around. Highly recommend and would love to visit again!

I stayed there for a week and it was lovely. The place is really clean, the rooms are nice and the common areas are great. They really care about their guests and it was a good place to stay, close to the cliff but not in the middle of the Varkala tourists chaos. Thank you all so much for everything!!!
