The Lake House was amazing, and far exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, VERY well stocked, had a Premium DeLongi super-automatic coffee machine, and the hot tub was perfect. We sat outside, both in the hot tub, and on the back deck, for hours watching the Northern Lights. This was the absolute best night of our trip.

The location of the Owl apartment was perfect for our long day on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The apartment was furnished with everything we needed. Cute owls watched over our rest all night. The owner has put so much care into furnishing and decorating this little apartment. We had a huge private bathroom with towel warming rack and toiletries. There is a small table with two chairs, and a coffee machine with a variety of coffee, teas, and hot chocolate provided, along with plates, mugs, and utensils, and a small fridge for our groceries. The bed is so comfy and the neighborhood is quiet so we had a relaxing rest. Our schedule did not give us time to enjoy our private fenced outdoor garden area with seating. The communication with the owner was excellent, and information for self check-in was sent well in advance. We even had a convenient parking space right in front. If we are ever in Iceland again, we'll definitely stay at the Owl apartment.

Our room looked better than what we saw in the photos, so that was a really pleasant surprise. The location was excellent, with the harbour and also the central district within easy walking distance. There is free street parking nearby, and if that happens to be full, you can also park for free in the parking lots of some nearby larger stores.

This contemporary design hotel is set in Reykjavík's Old Harbor area, 1640 feet from Harpa Concert Hall & Conference Center.

The hotel has its own sauna. On top of that, it has their own restaurant and their own bakery, so even if you miss your included breakfast, you will be able to get food one way or the other (paying, of course). The hotel looks modern and has a kind of urban style that I really liked, and there was always nice music. At night, the restaurant turns into some kind of bar, which is really nice if you feel like having some nice drinks but you do not want to go outside.

Located next to Iceland’s Ring Road, Laxarbakki offers apartments with free WiFi access and a furnished terrace with views of River Laxá. Akranes town center is 7.5 mi away.

The pictures dont do the lobby justice. Its a very warm lobby (we visited mid november) and the christmassy vibes were amazing. The lobby is warm and we loved the close proximity of the hotel to restaurants and transportation
