AustriaMaybe because of not yet high season, it was very quiet. Shared bathrooms were not the problem due to a few guests.
The restaurant is excellent. You can buy breakfast and there are some options for dinner.

United States6 star kitchen with four (4!) sinks and a full size and mini fridge. Huge open common area with plenty of room to eat at tables or hang out on the different coach areas. Beautiful location in a beautiful town. Well worth the stop on the ring road!

We had booked 2 bedrooms for the 4 of us, there were another couple and an other family of 4. We shared the kitchen with all equipment that you may need and there were 2 bathrooms with shower. A place that allows people to chat, sit around the table, share experiences / adventures. Let's not forget the restaurant, the food, the service, the smiles - so good! That's it. Cheap by Icelandic standards. In the kitchen, we found everything we needed. Also, people are encouraged to leave there for others to eat or drink whatever they don't need - we were happy to take a bit of oil and left oats there for example. You wake up to a beautiful and relaxing view of the mountain and a cove of water. The hostel is clean, the room is small but cozy, the beds are comfortable with clean white linens and comforter.
