IndiaThe one bedroom apartment with ocean view had truly an awesome view. Well furnished, neat and very clean. Note that you have to climb up a flight of stairs with your bags, and it's in a different house than the main hotel. Breakfast was good as well. Very friendly staff.

Living room so comfortable and bedrooms are so spacious and cute. We were in such private that we didn’t have to put down the curtains to watch if there will be northern lights. United StatesIt was great! The owner was so nice and friendly. He upgraded us to the guest houses, and gave us a full dinner and breakfast even though that was not provided in our stay. That was the best night sleep of our stay, perfect temperature clean and comfortable beds. Would recommend and would definitely stay again if we’re in the area. Location was central to gas and restaurant.

Great stop on the ring road, Hwy. 1. Simple town with nice guesthouses on the ocean. Highly recommend the Brimslod Altier Guesthouse! We also had dinner there, and is open to non-guest reservations. A good place to stay overnight, not a lot of amenities in town or need to stay overly long. There are cafes and stops to gas.

Accommodations are outstanding as are the delicious dinners and breakfasts prepared by our hosts. People from around the world visit here and share their experiences. The surrounding area is a place of astounding natural beauty and offers an array of activities: textile museum, hiking, nature baths, horse riding, and sight-seeing.

Amazing sea views. Great breakfast. Ate dinner at another establishment in town that was very good. If we stayed longer we would have eaten dinner at the hotel. The room was gorgeous. Loved the roof window. It even had a bluetooth speaker that sounded great. We could have stayed much longer if we had the time. Blonduos is a quiet and beautiful little town with much history.

Nice little bridgehead town with various services. A good base to travel from. Various choices of good day trips, e.g. around Skagi and Vatnsnes peninsulas, Skagafjörður district and the scenic valley of Vatnsdalur. Blönduós is also a good staring point for a highland drive across Kjölur to Reykjavík.

Absolutely beautiful hotel located right beside the ocean. The breakfast area is so wonderfully decorated and offers a massive window that provides incredible views of the ocean. Breakfast was fabulous; it included a wide variety of meats (included smoked salmon), jams, bread, cereal, etc. Our room was cozy with a very modern bathroom, a couch, and beautifully furnished. We really loved the attention to detail. All the staff were so friendly and inviting, it made us feel right at home.

We stayed here as stop in our tour of Iceland, between the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and our next stop in Husavik. Our rooms were ready on arrival, and were clean and comfortable. Off street parking was available behind the hotel and a really nice breakfast was included in the rate. As we didn't have dinner in the hotel and we were off again straight after breakfast, we didn't really experience much more of the hotel, but it did all that we needed and was good value.

Reviews for the guesthouse weren't very good so we were a little hesitant to stay there. But the reviews were so very wrong. It's not a 5-star hotel, but it was so much better. Comfortable with a wonderful mother and daughter who made our stay one of our favorite stays in all Iceland.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful location. Our host Stanley was lovely and really friendly and helpful. We were shown the facilties on arrival, our room was warm and clean. The swimming pool and hot tub was great to relax in. A great place to stay just off the ring road.
