Overlooking the mountains of Tröllaskagi Peninsula, these cottages include a kitchenette, private terrace and free WiFi access. Dalvik Public Swimming Pool is 656 feet away. Beautiful location, fantastic and friendly hosts. We loved the cottage we stayed in, very clean and has everything you need including a hot tub and a sauna. We also went to their cafe for a breakfast/lunch and the food was delicious. Would highly reccommend.

These Northern Iceland wooden bungalows are 50 minutes’ drive from Akureyri. Each has a private terrace with an outdoor hot tub and mountain views of the Tröllaskagi Peninsula. Everything was perfect, the cabin was very clean and we were offered a larger one for a very good deal. We had a really cozy and comfortable stay with breathtaking view of the fjord.
Absolutely love Dalvik. Such a beautiful little town. Lovely friendly, helpful, caring people. Snow capped mountains, deep blue sea, clear blue sky, lush green grass. Would love to return for longer! The water in Iceland is so pure! Love the horses, sheep, birds ... everything! Love Iceland!! ... Never knew there was Skydiving in Dalvik! Would love to have a dive there! Next time!
The host is phenomenal. The host is very friendly, outgoing, and a very hard worker. The location is a great jumping off spot to catch the ferry to Grimsey, or to go deeper into the north region of Iceland.
We decided to do whale watching from Dalvik instead of Husavik and glad we did. More mellow and the company we used was terrific; what sold us was the small fishing jaunt they offer at the end of the trip, which our 8 year old was super excited about. Cute town, good food. Go to Husavik for the whale museum, but do the watching from Dalvik if you want to mix it up a bit!
great town with a good vibe, small restaurant on the corner has the best fish stew in the world cant remember the name of it .short ride just north out of town gives the best fiord views just sitting on the side of the road, with a lovely waterfall
Great location to discover wildlife of Iceland - Whale watching, bird watching, horse ridding, chilling-out. It all depends on what you are after - Husavik is much more touristy and commercial. Dalvik is nice, small, quiet & wild life friendly :-)
Dalvik is a nice little town with all the basic amenities. The grocery store closes early (6pm) but there's a good restaurant down the street - Gregor's - and not to forget that in the nearby valley is a nature reserve that is absolutely stunning and has some beautiful trails to walk in the wetlands.
