We went to Dalvík so we could ride horses at the Tvistur...
We went to Dalvík so we could ride horses at the Tvistur horse farm. Then we went north to the Herring Era Museum. I would highly recommend both. It was nice traveling in the north of Iceland because there were so few tourist. The owner - Bjorni is such a nic guy, who gave us more than accomodation - many recommendations, map with attractions, road tips made by him and so on. In case of cottage... there is nothing what we consider as a bad experience. Next the cottage is also hot tube, sauna, nature shower with geothermal water with constant 40degrees. One of most magical places in Iceland. Didn't really used big bathtub but I was lucky enough to use sauna and it was great.
