United StatesThis was my favorite stay of our whole trip. The cutest little home and the most peaceful scenery. It is managed by the huge hotel in the area so it has all the nice amenities, but also kind of felt like I was visiting family because it was so cozy. Loved the full kitchen, the TV, the dining area for card games with family. They also light up the waterfall/mountainside at night which was stunning. Will dream of coming back to this spot when I think of my Iceland trip!

The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. The hosts had many recommendations for what to do and it definitely enhanced our trip!

Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend and will return when I come back to Iceland.

we had an early assembly for ice cave/glacier walk so the location was perfect (<15min drive). Nearby area to visit are Diamond Beach & Iceberg Lagoon but we missed that due to bad weather condition.

We chose it because of the proximity to the glacier lagoon and diamond beach. What we didn’t know was that it was the perfect place for a super comfortable first night after flying and a long drive. The owners contacted us in the morning to ask if we’d like dinner, which we gratefully agreed to, as we’d not been to this area before and knew we would be tired after a long travel day. The dinner was delicious with great choices, and was beautifully spread red and served. The surrounding property was stunning - farmlands and majestic cliffs filled with seabirds. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and new modern amenities. I will definitely return

Great location if you want to explore the Jökulsárlson glacier, and maybe do one of the adventures offered. Hali is a very small village but the Guesthouse has everything you may need, even if they explain that the kitchen has limited facilities (we found that we had everything we needed). The rooms are clean, the shared bathrooms/showers too and we found there is plenty of space. We missed the staff as they were celebrating the Christmas party but they still left us cake before leaving so we had it upon our arrival

The hotel is on a farm, the reception and the restaurant are by the gates and then The rooms are in two buildings. There is also a museum attached to the restaurant (free of charge). The staff were very good, the rooms were new, well maintained and spacious. Every building has a coffee machine where you can get coffee and tea 24 hours a day for free.
We had dinner twice the food was very good and locally sourced. Also the breakfast buffet was good and had lots of options. The glacier is a 15 min drive.

Amazing hosts, friendly and helpful. Great location and great fresh coffee machine. Welcome Marriage cake - a delicious treat! Great to chat with other travellers. Quiet, esp considering fully booked. On that note - book as soon as you can. There is little accommodation available and Hotels are expensive for a family. Would happily return here.... Guests were considerate of each other.

Room is basic, clean and spacious, lounge area with tea and coffee was great, location perfect for getting to our tour at Jokulsarlon lagoon early morning, breakfast was excellent. they have a restaurant serving dinner and food was good. A little museum dedicated to the author who lived in the house before it became a hotel was informative, different and good to learn.
