10 out of 10 this place. They charge you a premium price and unlike other hotels in Iceland you actually do get a PREMIUM experience. The room was designed to a standard which makes their nightly rates logical (unlike other hotels in Iceland). It was worth every cent in my eyes. Comfortable bed. Very nice bathtub. We had an amazing night and the tomahawk at their restaurant was sublime. You need to keep in mind that other places in Iceland will charge you same amount and you will NOT even remotely get your money's worth. That is not the case here.

Great property, so new we could smell the fresh paint! Room was cozy and very well designed with a window seat looking out to the hills and the horses. Bright, spacious and comfortable common room and incredibly well equipped shared kitchen. Hopefully guests will take care of it all so that it stays so beautiful. Loved the location midway between Gulfoss Falls and Geysir, 5 minutes from both. Highly recommended.

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the...

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The hosts are very friendly and attentive. They give you a quick tour and explain all the necessities as you arrive. Hotel is very neat, clean and organized. Looks like an old barn made into something so cozy! The view and the nature is amazing! Domestic animals are the point of attraction for people who are into animals, kids would definitely love it.

We loved the location-across the street from the Strokkur Geysir. We were upgraded to the Hotel Geysir from Litli Geysir and what a treat! Our room was fantastic! Newly updated. Very comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious! The lobby was so beautiful and calming. We hope to stay here again.

It’s remote location allowed us to see the northern lights right outside the hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Room was adequate, nice big bed and fridge in room. Free parking right outside, staff very helpful.

The yurts are a refreshing welcome to a the conventional hotel/ room. So impressed with how insulated they were. Staff was outstanding and breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend.
