The room was simple but comfortable. There is no kettle in the room but there is complimentary tea and coffee near the reception. The location is right across the Geysir so you can go at the end of the day when it's less crowded. The best of all was the dinner and the breakfast. We stayed 12 days in Iceland and it was by far the best we've had. The breakfast has a huge choice of food, including a very special Geysir bread that you can't find anywhere else. The dinner was excellent and the prices were correct for Iceland.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. I think what makes me think of this place as even more magical and unforgettable than it is anyway is its artwork - it was stunning and utterly heartwarming in its simplicity. Perfect value for money and location. The place was perfectly clean and the bathroom was a stunner with its space, modern decor and heated floors. We loved everything. The place is beautiful, very cozy, with a lot of charm & beautiful views in the room as well as the whole house. The common kitchen is super nice, well equipped, and a good place to talk with Anna. Breakfast was wonderful. And, there is a hot tub for guests.

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The best part of this hotel is its location, which is very close to several must-see spots in this area of Iceland. I was also very lucky because, being in a rural area, I could see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Another strength of the hostel is its staff. They are very friendly and welcoming.

With a big backyard and balcony at the hotel. Can saw the aurora from the window of the room. Amazing stay at the hotel. When occupies some more days. There are hot bath pool and sauna room. Also, can make dinner and breakfast in the room.

We were upgraded from Little Geysir to Geysir Hotel. I think LG closed and G just opened, so everything new. Receptionist appeared to really care about providing a good service and making sure you had a good visit. Everything modern and new.
