I think what makes me think of this place as even more magical and unforgettable than it is anyway is its artwork - it was stunning and utterly heartwarming in its simplicity. Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the...

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The hosts are very friendly and attentive. They give you a quick tour and explain all the necessities as you arrive. Hotel is very neat, clean and organized. Looks like an old barn made into something so cozy! The view and the nature is amazing! Domestic animals are the point of attraction for people who are into animals, kids would definitely love it.

Fantastic experience!! Couldn’t recommend it more. It was a pleasure to stay here for the night. So relaxing being out in nature but still with all the comforts of a hotel. Lovely breakfast the next morning as well. The separate shower block, that is communal, is very clean.

Amazing sorroundings, great, truly unique interior design, spacy room, kind staff. Breakfast at the nearby hotel with a great selection, although a little pricy.
