Geysir Hestar is a wonderful place to stay when you are doing the golden circle. A cosy welcoming guesthouse in the countryside, you can see the geysir area from your window - and islandic horses. Our stay at Hotel Geysir was fantastic! The memory foam bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well-designed. The tasty breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, including an authentic Geysir Bread. Additionally, Mr. Fabio's exceptional hospitality added a personal touch to our experience. Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the...

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The hosts are very friendly and attentive. They give you a quick tour and explain all the necessities as you arrive. Hotel is very neat, clean and organized. Looks like an old barn made into something so cozy! The view and the nature is amazing! Domestic animals are the point of attraction for people who are into animals, kids would definitely love it.

The hotel's prime location in the heart of the city made it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of fresh, local dishes and international options. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and featured a comfortable king-sized bed with premium linens and a stunning city view.
