We had an amazing stay at this place! The houses are beautifully designed with high quality materials and are perfectly heated, making them super cozy and comfortable. The surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning! The host was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home and the breakfast was simply delicious. The road to get there isn’t the easiest, but it’s absolutely worth it once you arrive. Plus, the sky is dark enough to see the northern lights and we were lucky enough to witness them - an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and high-quality stay.

This is a small and basic cabin BUT so charming, very authentic and what a gorgeous location. Plus host went out of her way to communicate and make sure we made it ok and were comfortable.

The Castle provides beachfront accommodations in Búðardalur. A hot tub is available for guests.

Amazing family operated accomodation. Rooms were so nice and clean. We had plates and cups in the room with complimentary tea and coffee and next to the house is fully stocked kitchen to use. Bathroom was nice and clean and they have such a cute dog and cat you can meet and pet during your stay. And the views from the room are amazing, they also provide binoculars to watch the sea life.

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 1640 feet from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 11 mi from Búdardalur village.

We stayed in one of the wooden cottages at Stóra-Vatnshorn and really enjoyed the peaceful setting. It was so quiet, with just the sound of a stream behind the cottage, and the view was beautiful. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was a bit cold when we first arrived, but it warmed up quickly once the heating was on. The cottage is accessed by a gravel road. An ideal getaway for peace and quiet.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Hjarðarholt, Mirror Suite is a vacation home surrounded by views of the mountain.

Extremely peaceful place, the decoration is great, the whole experience of being able to see all around you while being in your bed or in the hut tub is incredible.

Our best stay in Iceland, by far. The restaurant was great, hot tub under the northern lights... Bathrobe and flip flops provided for the hot tub. The rooms are compact but comfortable. The pictures on booking don't do justice to this hotel. The only place I would highly recommend in Iceland after staying in 9 different hotels across the country.

Found along Route 1, this modern property is 30 minutes’ drive from Borgarnes. Facilities include the 9-hole Gianni Golf Course. All rooms have a satellite TV and free WiFi.

Hotel seems like it’s very new. The room and bathroom were big and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the employees were friendly. You can see the northern lights from the hotel so that’s a bonus.
