Being in a more rural location and views of the mountains was great. Comfortable rooms
Located 4 km off Route 1, this family-run guesthouse is 25 minutes’ drive from Höfn. Set on a sheep farm, it provides simple, fresh rooms, a home-cooked breakfast and a dinner buffet with lamb.

Only thing I like was the price - it was the cheapest accomodation on that location. Breakfast was okay, but it could be better.

We got the spectacular mountain view room so we could clearly see the glacier outlets. Great location for chasing the northern lights because the surroundings are farms with not much light. The food is nice. We had the signature local langoustine soup and vanilla ice cream for dinner and they were splendid. Rankes among my most favourite dishes in Iceland so far. The room is well equipped and comfortable. Good selection for breakfast.
A great place to stop while driving the Ring Road.
A great place to stop while driving the Ring Road. Very good restaurants nearby and a very good breakfast on the property. Only disappointment was not to see the Northern Lights even though the sky was clear, however the stars were amazing in the dark sky

Excellent hotel and the front desk staff, Tereza was so helpful! I had booked 2 rooms because I had 3 people and Bookings.com said I had to have 2 rooms, when in fact there were 3 beds, so always doublecheck this with hotel. I am very pleased to recommend this property, very clean and a great place to end your day

The room curtains let the light around the sides during the night. Could be darker and be able to cover the sides. Since the bed was below the curtains, it was too bright early in the morning (3:30 am)

Lovely quiet village on the sea.
Lovely quiet village on the sea. The langoustine remind me more of shrimp due to the size. They are tasty and mild flavored. It’s a great place for a relaxing stay. We are at Kaffihornid. Lovely atmosphere, tasty burgers and lobster pasta and sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend the lobster soup. It’s a clear broth and doesn’t have much flavor, not worth the price in my opinion. We stayed at Skyaborg apartments and highly recommend them. ZBistro also has a breakfast restaurant, which is unusual for Iceland.

Very quaint and QUIET seaport town.
Very quaint and QUIET seaport town. A lot of the restaurants and bars were closed during my stay but was able to go to 1 of them which was lovely. It's a very far east part of Iceland I recommend going to, even if it is for 1 night.

Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit.
Gem! This was worth the extra drive to visit. Honestly it was my favorite part of Iceland. Rugged beauty without the long line of tourist buses to contend with. Stokksnes Beach is a hidden gem at sunrise!
The hotel is very well located for any road trip in the South of the country or if you drive via the Ring road. Next to all points of interest nearby: Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Hofn etc.
The room we booked was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, lovely staff, the hotel is very spacious in the middle of nature with mountain and field views and had also nice facilities. We recommend it more than 100% and will definitely book there again if we come back to South Iceland.
Stunning views, nice room and excellent breakfast.
The guest house overlooks the glacier and gentle meadows dotted by flowers. In the morning we were greeted by a couple of sheeps near our room window.
Breakfast was very good compared to other hotels we stayed in Iceland. It featured fresh fruit, cold cuts and handmade cheese.
parking. netflix. coffee. cook. aurora. facility. price. location. and mostly wonderful host. everything is so perfect.

Stunning location, great to have a well equipped cabin to cook own dinner and breakfast. We had a beautiful sunny day and sat outside soaking in the view of the glaciers. My favourite stay in Iceland.
