The rooms were very nice and we loved having the food court on the bottom floor. The food was some of the best we had in Iceland! We didn't have enough beds in the room and the staff provided us with an extra room at no additional cost.

The staff is amazing, very nice, helpful, it responds super fast and is very willing to help. The restaurant and drinks were great. Local food. Good recommendations for drinks. And, they don't push you to spend a lot of money. The room was clean and looked new. It was great for a night or several nights or days. You can easily chill out in that hotel in the room, the common areas or in the bath tub. Possibility to horse ride.

This place was really really good in every aspect. The place around here was STUNNING - the mountains were sooo nice. They have lots of beautiful horses. I wish I booked a horse-riding session. The room was comfortable, clean, large, with a cupboard, the wifi was good, the breakfast was excellent with a large selection and nice room to eat in. The decor was nice. I loved this place and wished to stay more!

Loved the interior. It really reflects Iceland. Due to the bad weather we didn’t make use of the hot tub or the outside area but they were very pretty. We arrived around 22 and the owner did not make any issues about that, thankfully. Communication was quick.

This location was truly magical.
This location was truly magical. It was quiet but close enough to amenities. The walks around our hotel were beautiful, including the walk to the village. Nearby you can do the mega zipwire and the hike to the hot river. We really enjoyed both of these activities. The town of Selfoss is busier and has some great restaurants, it's around 10 minute drive. We also visited the Lava Tunnel which is about 15 minutes away. However, this was pricey for what it was. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money as Iceland is expensive.The Bounty TravellerUnited Kingdom - 10
Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. Excellent hike to hot springs and geo thermal river for bathing - wasn't spoilt by being busy. Are out one night at the pizza and brewery in town which was reasonably priced, delicious pizza and lively atmosphere.

There were lots of hiking and mountain biking trails.
There were lots of hiking and mountain biking trails. We encountered a LOT of little gnats. And by a lot, I mean swarms. They weren't bugging us constantly, but the hike based out of the icebike area, was brutal. We stayed at Frost & Fire, which was sufficient. A bit run down, but a great base location.

Small clean residential town with a restaurant for meals during the day and a nice grocery store open till 8pm. I wouldn't say Hveragerdi is a destination; more like a really nice stop along the way. If you arrive in KEF at 9am and you're headed south east, this a nice stop to recover from the long flight from the US. Visit a little horse ranch north of town to see the frolicking foals. Stay at the INNI boutique apartments. You will be happy. - 8.0

Hverageroi is a small fairly non-descript town and not in any way scenic in itself, though surrounding countryside is. There are essential shops, petrol station etc. However, it is a reasonable base for the Golden Circle and the southwest coast of Iceland. It is a very quiet place. It is situated in a geo-thermal area with a small geo-thermal park in the centre. Just outside of town there is a a trail that leads to a geothermal bathing area. The trail is about 4km long and steep in places, but manageable in less than an hour. Scenery on the way is lovely with lots of hot springs and steam vents. Be prepared to change in the open if you fancy a dip in the water - there are no changing rooms - though there are screens that you can change behind but don't give total privacy.LesUnited Kingdom

The apartment was very clean with contemporary decor, comfortable beds, nice kitchen and washing machine, and modern amenities, including a nice shower, coffee maker, ample refrigerator and microwave. Staff was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the Scandinavian restaurant downstairs, which is owned by the same owner of the apartment, is excellent with great flavor, presentation and value. We highly recommend Matkrain Apartmemts in Hveragerdi!

The hotel is very easy to find, on the main street in Hveragerdi. We stayed here on our last night in Iceland, on our way back to the airport. The main reason was the proximity of the Reykjadalur Hot Springs River. We were even lucky to see the northern lights just outside the hotel. Really liked the food court downstairs with their take-away stands. Food was very good.

the steam room and the pool was amazing! the staff was very friendly and they woke you up when the northern lights came out. the facilities and bar were very nice. because of the work on the hotel they upgraded us to a nicer room for free.
