GreeceI loved absolutely everything about this manor. It was refined-country, cozy, crisp, and sophisticated-for-Iceland without being pretentious or minimalistic. Painted wooden panels, lush couches and beds that you sink into, spacious bathrooms. Beyond the decor being truly attractive, the staff was always smiling and helpful. After a freezing trip under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall's spray, I felt my extremities again in their clean sauna and further rejuvenated in the pool looking directly out into the landscape. Food was delicious with intriguing combinations of tastes. Parking was free and plentiful, access from the main road was simple, yet removed from the fray. I highly recommend this hotel/manor.

MoldovaEverything was great. There was heating, sauna and hot tub, very special at cold days. There was special utilities that can dry your clothes and shoes, it was great. A small kitchen apart. You can serve a tea or coffee for free in the restaurant as a guest. Showers and toilets are common, but are several so you shouldnt stay to wait for a long. Rooms are common too, but your bed is closed with special curtains, so you are not disturbed. We like it even if it was a common room.

FinlandWe had our own little cottage, which looked amazing. It was warm and cozy, with a nice kitchen and wonderful bathroom. A very nice bed with view to the meadow with horses. You can say hello to the horses and they're very calm and friendly. In the evening a perfect sunset. You can lay in bed and look outside, enjoy the view. You can book as well horse riding. A perfect place to stay. Would have loved to stay longer.

A very nice town in the south of Iceland where you can find everything you need. Grocery store, gas station, souvenir shop, restaurants, etc. The town is cozy and quiet with many horses around. Recommended as a starting point for exploring Iceland.

Wonderful Hidden Gem of a Hotel and Breakfast was OUTSTANDING
Rooms are quiet and comfortable and well maintained and upgraded.
Shower was a little tight and needs some update to make a little safer for people stepping in and out. A grab bar or better flooring would help.
But overall WELL DONE

Hvolsvöllur is a small town (village?), but you can find...
Hvolsvöllur is a small town (village?), but you can find restaurants, petrol station, supermarket here, therefore ideal base of excursions -for instance to the Golden Circle (North West) or Vik region (South West).
Nevertheless there is a very special facility, the Lava Centre which much be visited definitely.

Hvolsvöllur has plenty of good accommodation and a good grocery store. Very nice swimming pool as well. So its a good place for a base to travel from on day trips. Eldstó restaurant is a very friendly small place with great burgers and soups. Local attractions available.

The owners were very friendly.
The owners were very friendly. They help us even at midnight. The apartment was big, clean, enough for 6 people. The place was near by the Golden circle, Black beach and other attractions. Definitely recomend it.

The proximity to the ferry for the Westman Islands was the reason we chose this property - it was only 10mins drive from the ferry terminal. Additionally, the property is 1km from Seljalandfoss, meaning you can visit away from the busiest times of day. The cabins were literally on the ring road, making it easy to find but no need to worry about noise. A very good place to stay the night and enjoy all the amazing attractions between Seljanlandfoss and Vik.

Primarily designed as a simple yet very smart and comfortable family-run hostel/hotel and base for related outdoor programs, we were well served as a family on our family Iceland itinerary. I imagine a great place to meet other travellers.

The hotel was so nice and unique. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our bags as soon as we walked in. The breakfast was delicious and spa area was so nice and relaxing. It was nice seeing the horses on the property.

The breakfast was excellent, really the best one during this trip and it was included. We had to pay close to $20 per person in some places and it wasn't as good as the one in this hotel.
