The ION is a special spot, with a gorgeous view from the Northern Lights bar, where you can sit and unwind after a day of adventure. The restaurant on site is exceptional, serving an amazing breakfast buffet, lunch, and a superb dinner. The selections are excellent, and the food was artistically plated. The room felt spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we had a fabulous sleep. All in all, we would highly recommend the IOn, from its helpful and friendly staff to its gorgeous location.

Although we did not get to see the Northern Lights (which is why I booked this hotel), we very much enjoyed our stay! The scenery on the drive to the hotel is spectacular (if not a little scary if you're in wind/rain/snow), and the hotel is very, very cool! We enjoyed getting into the warm geothermal pool and sitting in the Northern Lights lounge after dinner. The food is fantastic and the staff was more hospitable than anywhere else we had experienced on our 10-day trip.

This hotel is very remote - we were unfortunate with the weather and got stuck in a snow storm on the road that leads to the property. luckily 2 friendly locals dug us out and we made it safely. it was worth the journey when we arrived - it’s a stunning hotel with great facilities. we spent hours in the geothermal pool and sauna. Unfortunately as we weren’t lucky with the weather we didn’t see the northern lights. one night was enough to stay here in my opinion.

The design and modern architecture of this hotel was stunning, as was the scenery it was set against. I am not sure I can think of a cooler hotel I have ever stayed in. I loved the stilts and the spa that my son and I layed in at night watching the stars and hoping for the northern lights. The double ceiling bar was also super cool. The food was exceptional and were the cocktails. Staff were super friendly.

The reception staff were very helpful (and super helpful when our hire car door locks froze open) check in was smooth and facilities are lovely. Hotel was very empty when we went so we had the lounge to ourselves (but with no staff serving any drinks at all) The hot pool was great fun and would be amazing on a clear night. Room was warm and comfortable

The stuffs here are all friendly and helpful. Because of the storm, we cannot arrived at the hotel as we planned. The stuffs helped me reorganize the hotel near airport, which is also nice and comfortable. I enjoyed the last day of 2022 in Iceland. The firework and spring are fantastic. Thank you for keeping touch with me all the time. See you next time!

Very cool hotel, just like the photos. We were greeted by friendly staff and were offered a welcome drink. The room was a nice size, no issues there. We enjoyed the hot pool as well. We loved the northern lights wake up call option, the hotel staff called in the middle of the night to tell us northern lights were visible! A nice little service!

The hotel is very well equipped in terms of facilities and most amenities, with the staff being very friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast and dinner meal options are generally very good and the Northern Lights bar is a highlight. Finally, our room was absolutely fine - comfortable bed, very clean and well equipped bathroom.

Lovely hotel and the location is amazing. We loved the spa pool under the hotel and the Northern Lights bar. We were lucky to get the wakeup call for the Northern Lights and drove our hire car a little into the national park to get some photos. Overall a great stay!
