Sólbrekka Holiday Homes is located in Mjóifjörður Island. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday home. Amazing views!!!!! Very isolated, with stunning waterfall and fjord views!! If you want to see the real beauty of Iceland without the crowds, this is the place!! Abundant hiking opportunities! Fill up with gas/groceries before you leave Egillstadir, there are no gas stations or restaurants here. There is a beautiful lighthouse and the very end of the fjord, but the drive is a bit scary! 4 wheel drive is recommended.

Providing mountain views, Ásgeirsstaðir Holiday Homes in Ásgeirsstaðir provides accommodations and barbecue facilities. Complimentary WiFi is provided. We neede to do our laundry and planning to do by hand. But the landlord offered their own washing machine !!.
Don"t miss the Sushi boat tour. Trip through the harbor , out to see the puffins and then they troll for fresh seafood that you eat raw. Yummy. Great fun. The hostel is very friendly like being at home. You can wash your clothes if you are a light traveler and need clean clothes. Lots of space to rest and relax in.
Beautiful little town in the mountains. Got to see the northern lights. Only 1 restaurant open during winter- pizza place with delicious pizza. Was able to walk there with family. Very picturesque town
We absolutely loved our stay here. The accommodations were perfect. Our own little house with picturesque views. There were 5 of us traveling and the house made it very comfortable. A short walk to the town for dinner.
A vibrant, picture-book perfect fjord town. Scenery was glorious! Strolled around town, enjoyed an awesome dinner at the Nordic restaurant at Hotel Aldan then hiked up to a lovely hidden waterfall on the north side of the fjord. We are fans of the Icelandic mystery series Trapped which recently became available in the US on Amazon Prime and is set in Seydisfjordur, so we had fun driving around and trying to identify some of the settings used in the show. We could only stay one night, but my family and I agreed we would love to go back and spend an extended time in Seydisfjordur for hiking, kayaking, the art scene and just relaxing.
A charming place. There are several good restaurants in town. Very pretty town to walk around in. We attempted the mountain viking hiking challenge and made it up 2 of 7 peaks, which are amazing if you can get clear weather when you reach the top. I would recommend a stop in Seydisfjordur if you are in the east fjords.
Seydisfjordur is a small, quaint town on the water surrounded by mountains. It is so picturesque. It is also a real town with real families living in it - it did not feel like a town full of tourists. Our young children enjoyed playing on the community playground with the local children. It only has a few hotels and restaurants but the ones we visited were great. And the road to enter and leave Seydisfjordur is one I will never forget!

The bathroom was the biggest we have seen during our trip. The room was also quite spacious for Iceland standards. The shared kitchen was well equipped. Nice decoration in the room. The village was pleasant and calm and had some nice hiking opportunities to see the numerous waterfalls.

This place is absolutely lovely. We booked a room with a private bathroom, so I can't say anything about the shared facilities. But the place is cute, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are very nice. This was my favorite stay in Iceland!
