We had an excellent stay at Solheimahjaleiga Guesthouse. They surprised us with a free room upgrade when we checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, there was free parking on site, and the complimentary breakfast was more than enough! The staff was so kind and gave us great recommendations on things to do and sites to see around Vik. It was about a 20min drive outside of Vik which gave us great opportunities to view the Aurora Borealis on the property. I would highly recommend Solheimahjaleiga to anyone traveling through or looking to stay in the countryside of Iceland.

Excellent place to stay! The buffet breakfast that is included is one of the best if not THE best I have ever had. Bathrooms look newly renovated - rooms are very, very spacious.

Setting was great, not far from Vik. We ate at the hotel in the evening which was lovely and big servings. Breakfast great loads of choice.

The cozy self check in Hotel Skoga is just 5 minutes walk from the spectacular Skogafoss Waterfall located at the foot of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

This was our favorite stay of our whole trip to Iceland! We lucked out and got the corner room with a view of Skógafoss and the field of sheep. Breakfast was delicious and we were excited to find they had a hot tub! We’ve agreed that if we return to Iceland we will be staying here again.

Mid Hvoll Cottages is located 6.2 mi from Dyrhólaey peninsula. The cottages feature a well-equipped kitchenette and a terrace with sea and mountain views.

Fosstún Guesthouse is a recently renovated apartment in Skogar, near Skogafoss Waterfall. This apartment provides free private parking, a shared kitchen, and free Wifi.
