The property was easy to find, and is very well located for day trips around Egilsstaðir. The house was clean, cozy and nicely decorated. There was a washing machine as well, which was very handy. The beds were comfortable. The area was very quiet, a bit outside of Egilsstaðir, but very quick to drive there. From the open area where the cottages are, there is a short path to a jacuzzi (which was spotless) and there is also a sauna. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Set in a peaceful, natural setting, Eyjólfsstaðir Guest house is just a 10-minute drive from Egilsstaðir and the local airport.

What a beautiful area - slightly off the city centre but surrounded by woods and forest trails. There is a wonderful walking trail right around the property. Gorgeous garden to sit and relax in the evening. And Hallormsstaður forest is 20 mins close. Hengifoss, studlagil are all nearby. Friendly staff. (We could get the most of the property because we were lucky with great weather)

Agnes was very helpful and kind. The room was exceptionally comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and a private bathroom. Very clean towels and linen. Private car parking was also very good. The rooms have a beautiful view.

Kind friendly host, wonderful and quaint space, privacy from other cottages with trees that have grown since the photos on bookings.com were taken. Private bathroom, shower, kitchenette, BBQ outside, a little porch and chairs for you, a table inside to eat around. Fantastic, would recommend.

The hotel is beautiful and well constructed, as well as really well decorated. The rooms are big eniugh and have a great heating system. The bathroom is also good. The water smells a little bit like sulphur, but that happens in several region on Iceland and is not something super strong.

Outstandingly friendly staff, lots of space, very clean and modern. The big Windows were a big plus,, we were able to see the northern lights from our bed! The soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel also were good quality. Close to gas station and grocery store. The restaurant was also good, the reindeer ragout was fantastic!
