We loved our stay at Midsitja. Beautiful cozy room with all wooden interior. We enjoyed reading in the books on Icelandic horses and visiting the stable and the horses. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold to sit on the terrace. The dog and cat are super friendly and so cute. Being greeted by them just added to the homey feeling. It was also nice of the host to provide some light breakfast in the fridge, which we very much appreciated.

Gorgeous location and our hike to the private hot spring was an unexpected delight. It was adjacent to a beautiful waterfall that I wasn’t previously aware of. The family kindly let us interact with the horses, dog and cat and we learned a great deal about the property by chatting with the hosts. The kids welcomed mine to play and mine didn’t want to leave. Also the guest Netflix account allowed for a movie to settle them in at night.

We arrived when the reception was closed. But they left us detailed information, so it was very easy to find the cottage and check-in on our own. The cottage is very cozy and clean, and the area is well maintained and quiet. It also has a patio around the entire cottage. Parking right in front of the cottage. We were very pleased with this accommodation.

We upgraded to a private cabin. We had our own little deck, a spacious, GORGEOUS room, plus, a private bath. This cabin should be considered as luxury hotel status- only we were in the middle of nowhere! Just beautiful!
