It’s a small town catering mainly to locals with few amenities but well connected transport links. Supermarket was only open half days. Most of the eateries were fast food/cheap. We went in winter, Abbadia Lariana doesn't have a lot of places to visit, but it's close to other cities that have a lot of things to do. Quite location between Lecco/Milan/Bergamo and Varenna/Bellagio/Menaggio. Great for staying when visiting Lake Como and other tourist locations. Easy train connections, but not too frequent.
