Located 23 miles from Heraclea Minoa, Le Terrazze di Pirandello has accommodations with a shared lounge, a garden and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. This was, without a doubt, our best stay of our 1 week trip in Sicily. Giuseppe and his brother are so nice and full of informations about the surroundings (Agrigento, Valley of Temples and the Turkish stairs). Giuseppe managed to find a parking spot for our car just by the hotel in busy Agrigento. The room and the bathroom were really clean. The main feature is of course the terrace where you can see the temples and the sea. By night the atmosphere is magical and the breakfast is served to you on the terrace with a wide variety of products. We will definitely come back if we are back in this area of Sicily!
Agrigento
Villa La Lumia B&B Suites & Apartments is housed in an elegant 19th-century building, located in Agrigento, just 0.6 mi from the Valley of the Temples. It was absolutely gorgeous and a really special place to stay. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner with a basket of oranges he was picking to make fresh juice for breakfast the next day. The grounds have lots of citrus trees and we found a little trail that my daughter loved. The breakfast was great, and I was able to eat enough with a dairy allergy.

The area is unique but we chose to visit only the main attractions . The landscape is fantastic, the people are friendly. If you don’t have high expectation you can enjoy Agrigento! Scala del Turchi and the Valey of the Temple was nice.
Loved the Valley of the Temples and the churches in town. The town itself is a very interesting warren of passages, narrow winding streets and many stairs from one level of town to another. It's lovely.
A must see for everyone visiting Sicily! Valley of the temples is simply breathtaking! Unfortunately I couldn't walk around as much as I have wanted because I hurt my leg. If you go, make sure to wear comfortable clothes and walk everywhere. If you can't walk, there is a taxi at the parking that'll take you to one end of the valley for a small fee and you can walk back.
I walked around the city of Agrigento and ate some gelato.. my main goal here was to see Valle dei Templi, which was a great place to visit. Well-preserved ancient Greek structures. Recommend going early in the morning when they first open both to avoid the heat and the crowds, or in the late evening there are ways to come at sunset and see the temples with lighting. You can buy tickets online and skip the ticket sales line in person. I stayed in a place in San Leone so I was closer to the Valle, it was a six minute drive. The parking was €2 first hour, €1 second hour, then 50 cents an hour. I passed about 2.5 hours in the park, so paid €3.50. There’s a snack bar inside the park and a few vending machine with drinks. Also nearby that people like to visit is Scala dei Turchi, which is about 20 minutes from Valle dei Templi by car. I went at sunset and it was beautiful. The actual cliffs are closed off for now to tourists to protect the rocks from erosion, however some folks still managed to get down there. There are great lookout spots up high for photos so you don’t need to contribute to the damage of the rocks.
The temples are really the highlight of Agrigrnto. One is so complete it gibes a good idea of how it use to look. The walk down the avenue is well thought out and with lots to look at and read about. If you have difficulty walking the lenght there are options for hire and the path is good. The musuem is also a must for context and the local area. I missed the cats that were around the entrance when I was there before. The city is close to a beachside with a regular bus service to it. Nice and sandy and a long stretch. If you are a theatre buff the a visitt to Pirandello's house is a must, although getting there by bus is not so easy, but worth the effort. A lovely resting place for him. The bus website is excelllent with timtable and maps so very easy to get around if you have no car. Have a look at the town as it has the feel of a town witout the tourists.
Charming town with a nice vibe. Clean and safe. Just outside the town is the vast temple complex Valley of the Temples (Valle dei Templi), and a few kilometres away you will find the Stair of the Turks (Scala dei Turchi) and a nice beach.
Agrigento
Filippo and team were fantastic hosts! The location is superb and unique---where else can you see the Temple of Concordia from your room? Very convenient location with some excellent restaurant options nearby. No need to go in to Agrigento town center for meals. Rooms were newly renovated and very comfortable. Breakfast was good and served family-style with other guests, which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend a stay here!
Agrigento
The hotel is perfectly situated at the top Agrigento right outside of the old town. The host was amazing when we arrived. He showed us how to get around the city and recommended places to eat. The room was large with a great bed and a beautiful terrace that allowed access from outside. There was great security around the rooms so it felt very safe. There was a separate space with a refrigerator and coffee and tea inside the room as well.
Agrigento
A great example of Sicilian hospitality. Hosts represented an amazing, discrete kindness. Our room was on the 6th floor and Mr Alfonso took our heavy luggage there. We have a private terrazzo with the seaside view for our disposition. Breakfast was a real fiesta with a huge range of local salty and sweet goodies. Excellent location. To put it short one of the best places I have been in Sicily. I strongly recommend.
Agrigento
Wonderful beach (natural “pools” divided by rocks from the outer sea to limit waves, spatious) 5 minutes downhill on foot from the house, toilets and restaurant/snack bar there. It was possible to take a beach umbrella and water mattress for free from the house. Great breakfast (the richest we had in Sicily’s B&B) on the terasse with the view over the sea. New furnishing.
Agrigento
We’ve found everyone in Sicily very friendly, and that includes everyone at all the hotels we’ve stayed at, but the welcome at Giafra still stands out. Friendly, helpful, generous and generally lovely. And the place is very comfortable and smart, well-appointed, with excellent breakfasts (with beautifully decorated cappuccinos). We’d stay there again very happily, and hope we will.
Location! Location! Location! We wanted to wander the sites at our leisure, including the local museum, and the location made this extremely easy. The view at night of the lighted temples was timeless. Breakfast and staff were among the best I experienced in Sicily. The pool was a welcome respite from the October heat.
Agrigento
Room/toilet was very clean, they leave 2 bottles of water and 2 small chocolates ( that was very nice!) The breakfast was super: big and very fresh! One of the best we had in Sicily!! Very easy to find a parking space nearby, the b&b is 5 min walking from the main street in the city center.
Agrigento
The lady from this apartment was so nice. I was impressed by the warmth of her personality. I had a very long day when I arrived in Agrigento, but she was welcoming me with a big smile and prepared the breakfast at 10 PM when I mentioned that I will checkout before 7AM. True Italian hospitality!
Agrigento
In the middle of the real Sicily, in the mountains, with a sea view, there is a family running little hotel. I thought we were the only guests when we arrived, but in the evening their restaurant was completely booked. The food delicious, pizzas and steaks excellent. Surprise. Recommended.
Agrigento
the breakfast was a joy, the room was clean and well appointed, we enjoyed the balcony for its view and privacy, and loved the elevator that was absent from many of our other accommodations. Octavio was an excellent support for information about the room and Agrigento in general
Agrigento
Every small detail was perfectioned Super clean The pictures doesn't do justice of how nice this place actually is Really welcoming and nice host Staying in 4 star hotel next night, felt like hostel compared to this property. Breakfast was excellent Recommend it to everyone

Localiztion. Amazing View on Valley the Temple. It is very good place to spent time, swimmingpool, amazing taraccess, a lot of animals, very well equiped bar (a lot of wines and beers). One of the best breakfest on Sicily.
Agrigento
Rooms are really beautiful and clean. Only place where owner asked us what type of breakfast we prefer. First salty breakfast in Sicily and amazing coffee. Everything was on the table, coffee was served like in restaurant.
Massimo made us feel very welcome, saved us when we were lost, and took great care of us. He made the trip wonderful!! I wish he could be our travel guide all over Sicily.
Agrigento
Wonderful, remote house with terrific views. Evening meals remarkable - a true taste of Sicily. The antipasti plate was stunning. Lovely, immaculate swimming pool.
This is our 3rd time at this hotel. The location is superb, the staff likewise. Bathrooms could use some sprucing up. The restaurant is very good.
Agrigento
