Offering city views, a terrace and free WiFi, B&B Batarà - "La Terrazza del Centro" is located in Agrigento, 23 miles from Heraclea Minoa and a 6-minute walk from Teatro Luigi Pirandello. This place was wonderful. The room was charming and very clean. It had a private balcony with an amazing view of the centro storico and the sea beyond. The breakfast was ample, with a large variety of sweets and savories and the breakfast patio also had a wonderful view. The owners were very kind and helpful. Now, there were stairs involved to get to this lovely place. But if you are not packing a lot of luggage and if you are reasonably fit, the stairs should not be an obstacle. But if you have heavy luggage and get winded easily, then you would probably find the stairs to be a challenge. I am an older person and physically fit and did not have excessive luggage, so for me the gorgeous view from the private balcony was worth every step!

From the lovely terrace we could look through a lush garden to the Greek temples, which were within easy walking distance. The room was fine and the family who ran the B&B were very helpful and friendly. Finding the place was a bit tricky but ultimately not a problem.
The city is full of traffic. We walked straight up from the hotel and found a great pedestrian street with churches, art gallery and gourmet food shops, and a bakery, organic food store. Don’t miss the temples, of course. The Scala dei Turchi are only 10mins away
I loved it, and wish we had stayed longer. I think our room was lovely and I would of liked to spent more time at the pool. It would be fantastic if there was s full service Spa at this location. It seems like a perfect place to meditate, do yoga, eat healthy and bake in the sun. Also a place for wine tasting, cooking classes, olive oil tasting, culinary classes and local art classes. The location calls out for off season learning classes with a view. I think there is a special place and a someone needs to market this idea a include m. The Valley of the Temples contained ancient Greek Temples, some in very good condition. It was a huge site with good walking surfaces. There were cafes and toilets. Well worth a visit. Agrigento can be reached using a two hour regular service bus from Palermo which cost only nine Euros each in March 2023.
Great little town , perched on a hillside with great restaurants and shopping. The perfect venue for your tour of the Valley of Temples, which is truly fantastic. One of the best preserved Greek temples, outside of Athens, Greece. Truly a must see place, when touring Sicily.
Ruins worth seeing. They changed a lot about entry. Taxis €3 to take you up so you can walk down. We arrived about 3 pm but my husband did not want to see the ruins then. We are going mid morning after checking out of B&B
Agrigento
It was by far the best place we stayed during our two weeks trip through Sicily, and also the least expensive. The location, facilities, breakfast... everything was exceptional. The rooms are very nice and remarkably clean. But what certainly makes this accomodation beyond superb is the dedicated way in which Fabio and Sandro run their place: they put thought and effort into every detail, something which really makes de difference for the guests. We are very much looking forward to staying here again.
Agrigento
Literally everything from our host Francesco who is so welcoming, helpful and just top level service all the time, to his INSANELY GREAT rooftop terraces with the best sunset view. Nothing was missing, breakfast was amazing and we wished we could have a place like that everywhere in Sicily! The house has a great history and you can really feel the soul. Explore all the terraces, plants and small corners of the place! The rooms are spacious with everything you need.

The accommodation was perfect. The room was very clean and confortable and has all the facilities needed. In the morning we enjoyed the breakfast and the good coffee. The hosts, Eleonora and Paulo are so lovely. They are very friendly, flexible and helpful. From the 8 days spent in Sicily, our 2 nights stay in Agrigento were the best and part of it is also due to the ospitality of our hosts. We definitely recommend the accommodation.

Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations ! We had a wonderful time here and it was truly the best place where we stayed in Sicily. The accommodations are simple but very confortable. What made this stay memorable were the hosts ! So nice and welcoming ! They were wonderful and the cuisine at the diner was perfect. Such a wonderful memory for us. We won't hesitate to come back next time we come in Agrigento.

The host was amazing. She would go above and beyond to help you and to find you suitable solution for your stay. The breakfast was very good with typical Sicilian food (sweet and salty). It was close to the lungomare, so at night you didn’t need to take the car and move around. The room was new and with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I would certainly go again if I go again in Sicily.
Agrigento
Very clean and nice b&b. Easy self check in and the hostess, Francesca was very helpful and reachable at any time! The b&b has an amazing view to the valley of the temples and was very close to Agrigento centre! Free parking in the property of the b&b was an extra, as it's not easy to park in Sicily. The breakfast was delicious and rich! We felt very welcome! Thank you for everything!!!
I bet you never had such a view from a pool and restaurant and rooms patio (in our case). Very convenient parking, friendly stuff. From a moment we arrived, we had a feeling being in 5 star hotel. There are lots of sun beds. I read many negative reviews about restaurant. But I guess either a Chief has changed or something else, but we did enjoy our dinner a lot. Still can’t forget a tomato butter :)
