Villa Athena, a modern 5-star hotel, is located within Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. it's the best choice we've made for this trip. There is a private entrance for hotel guest to archeological site which means you don't need to buy tickets for site. IF you want to visit museum, you can buy a spearate ticket for musuem. The location of hotel is perfect, you can see the greek temple from hotel and it makes feel like you are living in hellenistic age.
Colleverde Park Hotel overlooks the Valley of the Temples, and is a 15-minute walk from Agrigento’s famous archaeological site and 1.2 mi from the city center. WiFi is free. The staff was super friendly and helpful, multilingual and very attentive to customer needs. They have given us a lot of hidden tipps which made our trip even more worthwhile. We can highly recommend this facility. Stunning view to the valley of temples from some of the rooms and from the garden terrace. Nice Restaurant for Breakfast and Dinner and a stunning and beautifully arranged garden.
In the midst of beautiful gardens, Hotel Della Valle offers comfortable, elegant and air-conditioned accommodations. Facilities include a bar, 2 restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool. Facilities were nice and they really dealt well with the covid situation (e.g. served breakfast at your table to avoid a buffet). Francesco at reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location was really convenient for restaurants and the valley (with a car). Wifi was good. Spacious bathroom. Family quadruple room was good.
Hotel Belvedere offers functionally furnished rooms and free WiFi throughout, all 328 feet from a bus stop link to Agrigento's Valley of the Temples. We asked for a ground floor room, with a minimum of steps, and the staff provided exactly that. The staff are very solicutous and were happy to be helpful.
Located in Agrigento, 23 miles from Heraclea Minoa and a few steps from Teatro Luigi Pirandello, Le Terrazze di Pirandello has accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a shared lounge and a... I never see a great and perfect hotel can be like this! Super clean, the host is super helpful, the location is perfect, even the smell of the balcony is perfect😂 Thanks!!!
B&B Le Stanze Al Centro is located in Agrigento and has accommodations with a terrace and free WiFi, 24 miles from Heraclea Minoa and a 16-minute walk from Teatro Luigi Pirandello. Silvestre is a very nice host who makes your stay as comfortable as possible. He gave us a lot of helpful tips. A vegetarien breakfast is also possible. He even organized a parkingspot for us. Recommendation!

Hotel Del Viale is just a 3-minute walk from Agrigento’s historic center, and 1.2 mi from the Valley of Temples. It offers free Wi-Fi, and rooms with attached bathroom with air conditioning. The breakfast was good and the location was very good.
Located in Agrigento, 23 miles from Heraclea Minoa, Bella Napoli features views of the city. There is nothing exceptional about the hotel, but the location is great.
Set in the historic center of Agrigento, the Antica Foresteria Catalana is a 2-minute walk from both the Luigi Pirandello Theater and central Via Atenea.

We loved Agrigento so much that we added two days to our stay there. We walked, walked, walked and ate, ate, ate! The history and archeological offerings are stunning -- and so easily accessible to the tourist. The busses are cheap and efficient, going where you want to go at reasonable frequency. The restaurants are plentiful, varied, inexpensive, and delicious. It is close enough to the coast that you can get there by bus in less than 10 minutes. San Leone, in particular, is a great place to visit. Nice beaches and good restaurants. The Valle dei Templi is awesome!
The old town is interesting but we have stayed in a lot of old towns in Italy. We saw everything except the duomo, which was closed. As usual in Italy, the trattorias are more interesting than the fancier restaurants and we had several good meals in town. The museum was informative but outside town and requires a taxi or a lot of walking. The valley of the temples also requires a taxi but is really impressive and the reason for the trip.
The main attraction is the Greek temples, well worth the visit. I recommend starting at the lower entrance. To minimize walking you can get a taxi ride to the upper entrance and walk down from there instead starting on the upper side and walking first down and then up again. It's a long way. Driving in the town of Agrigento is not for the faint-hearted.
Staying at the Hotel Athena on the Unesco grounds made it possible to fully access the various parts of the site and to walk to the museum. The pool at the end of a hot day was very welcome. It will be great to come back when the recently discovered Greek theater is opened to the public. I would try and plan my visits to the various sites before 11 a.m. and after 4 p.m. In the middle visit the museum and have lunch.
Positives - Valley of the Temples is outstanding and a must-see. Very good local restaurants. Negatives - Was upsetting seeing quite a few stray animals around the town. Although we did see that some food and water appeared to be left out by locals.
The ruins, especially the "Temple of Concord", are great, as well as the museum, which contained motifs I hadn't seen before. The logistics of getting to both is something I still am not sure about. Apparently the city bus stops at both entrances to the ruins and at the museum, but I'm not sure. Also, it is not clear to me that the bottom entrance is really an entrance, as opposed to just an exit. I saw no signs, at least late in the day, of its being an entrance, such as a ticket window or security people checking backpacks. Between the museum and the entrance (the top one) we resorted to a taxi, who charged 10 Euros, as we wanted to see the temple again lit up at night. Then a bus picked us up at the bottom (and didn't stop at the museum or top entrance).
The owners are very nice and attentive. The apartment was as described, clean and comfortable. They even left us with cooking ingredients so we could cook a traditional Italian meal. We had also many different things for the breakfast, all kindly provided by them. In addition, all tourist attractions were explained, Andrea gave us many hints about places to go and were to eat. It was the best apartment we have stayed in, not just in sicily, but in all our experience in booking.com . Keep up with the excellent quality and kindness!
A really great place, the owners are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. The rooms are brand new and clean, the view from the terrace is indeed quite spectacular. It's very easy to find a place to park outside. On top of that the breakfast that we were served was really first class, compared to the average croissant and some juice that you normally get in B&Bs this was getting very close to a nice brunch at a restaurant. All in all, by far the best place we've stayed at during our stay in Sicily.
The rooms where really nice. The hotel is located in a big appartment in an old building. You have all the facilities needed. The mattress and the pillows are with memory foam, really comfy. The bathroom is new, very clean and nice. The host offers breakfast at a coffeteria nearby (1 min walk), you can select everything you want there. We found free parking in front of the building in the street. The host offered us a lot of tips and recomandations nearby.
Its the best b&b where we have been in all our trip in Sicily. Francesco was very kind and we could talk with him about Agrigento and the tradition of fishing in Sicily. The house is so cute... and the rooms are very clean and nice. We really liked the style. Breakfast... amazing! Just amazing! Well done Francesco, you have a very special place in Agrigento.
The amazing customer service and hospitality given by Vincenzo was truly memorable. Not only did he provide delicious local produce but also made many of the food items. All the staff were so friendly and warm. Our children had so much fun. Would highly recommend staying here. It was our favourite stay throughout Sicily
This superb room at agrigento is on good location to explore the city. Nice, clean and modern room with host like Andrea is perfect combination. He took his time to guide us and to show us the best part of the city. He prepared best breakfast ever with nice sicilyan fruit. We realy enjoyed this stay.
Beautiful apartment, just newly renovated. Host was very friendly and helpful. Views of temples from balcony and short walk into the old city. Most comfortable bed we had in Sicily. Parking on the street directly outside. Overall one of our favourite places we stayed.
Claudio was an excellent host and we enjoyed every part of our stay in Agrigento! The apartment was equipped with everything we needed and the breakfast we ordered one morning was the best! We understand Claudio’s mom prepared the wonderful breakfast items!
Adorable and hyper attentive staff, modern room and completely new, excellent bedding, best breakfast of all Sicily! everything was perfect thank you!
the best B&B I lived in Sicily. I love the style of furniture. I love everything there. The hosts were helpful，and elegant. strongly recommend.
Great location for a great price. Probably the best, most genuine, local feeling breakfast we had in Sicily! Room was big and comfortable.

Better than a 5 star hotel!

It is a lovely location and our room was comfortable and beautiful. We had a fabulous dinner (prepared there by the chef)with three other couples that were staying there. The food was amazing. It was a great breakfast and all people that live and work there are very kind and nice.
I liked the fact that there was a cute pool with comfortable chairs and couches to sit around it. They offered a good supper out in the open just outside the rooms made by them with authentic food made by them at a good price.
Guided to our room by 2 adorable bull dogs. Great host, location, and super comfortable- would recommend!
Proprietaria gentile e disponibilissima. Stanza grande. Possibilità di usare la lavatrice.
