We like very much the city of Alessandria. There are many things around to visit and we will be coming back. Alessandria has many small restaurants, good book stores and people are very friendly. It's easy to get around and the atmosfere of the city is really nice. I particulary like the architecture of the city and we always stop to have coffy or to eat. It's wonderful to come back.

There are many spots in the city you can visit by foot avoiding the heat wave after lunch time.
If you like the culture, there are a couple of museums in the centre (the museum about Borsalino can be an option). In case you prefer to visit a church, there are many to choose or a historical site like the citadella (for free, but needs work of conservation). Inside the citadella, there is a free entrance museum about the weapons and uniforms used by the Italian army and well explained and detailed information about it (only in Italian).
For lunch and dinner, any option in the centre should be good.
It's not in the center of Alessandria so less busy and easily reachable. The parents were lovely (speaking only Italian, but we managed quite well). The flat is decorated nicely and everything needed was there. There is a private courtyard where I was able to store my bike. Balcony not reachable directly from the flat but it's right next to the entrance of the flat.
The hotel is huge and with parking area just in front. It is is located in an industrial area but with cinema and restaurant just close by. The rooms are big and clean as well.
Fitness center and swimming pools are not part of the hotel amenities, so you’ll need to pay to use them. I do not find fair that those are mentioned in booking
The front desk was very welcoming and helpful (and we arrived very late). We got a flat tire on the side street of the hotel and the gentleman who greeted us provided us guidance and made a sign for us (in Italian) to place on our windshield because we were in a no parking zone (bad luck).
clean spacious apartment, very warm!! 5 minutes walk to the center, in the next building there is a supermarket. The owner is always friendly and in touch. helped me quickly call a taxi in the morning when I was in a hurry!
Hôtel situated near autoroute but surprisingly quiet. Not very pretty from the outside but beds were comfortable and hotel was very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good and breakfast was very good.
I always come in this hotel any time l have to be in Alessandria and around. It is mostly 20 years. Great location, very clean hotel, very good restaurant. Everything always perfect, however this time ...
