Hotel in Amalfi
This cliff-top hotel in Amalfi is a converted 13th-century monastery. It offers free WiFi, ultra-modern rooms and an infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The place was absolutely amazing! To start with, I rarely write these kind of reviews, but the hotel was so amazing and staff so great so I feel obliged to help their business. To give you some background, what kind of travelers we are - we fly to the most exotic places on earth and live in the most exotic and expensive hotels. We get annoyed, if the bed in business on the plane is too narrow or not closed off enough from the public. Having been to a number of Four Seasons, One and Only, Ritz hotels around the world, including in the Maldives where we paid 4,000 USD a night, we have concluded that this hotel probably provided the most blissful and breathtaking experience we have ever had. First the hotel is situated perfectly, right in the center, near to all, but high up on the mountain (you need to take 3 elevators to get up). This provides proximity and stunning view (I would say unparalleled to anything we have seen before). Maybe closest one in completely panoramic views is Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, where simple sea view rooms start at 3,000+ USD per night. The real gem of the hotel is the junior suite with Jacuzzi, which has a panoramic terrace that is 7*10m. Furthermore, the hotel is located int he old 12-th century monastery and has loads of private benches patios etc, gardens. Each space is unique and can be yours for the evening (there are way more of these spaces then guests, due to unique property setting). The staff was super helpful and worked on our private DHL delivery that was delayed in a very personal way. Room service was great and every time we asked for something it took literally 60 seconds for a guy to be with glasses or ice bucked at our door. Maybe the only difference to some of the really luxury chains are the rooms. We can's lie and say they are exactly perfectly planned with a thought through decor and diligence of the Four seasons, but completely nice and this is also the Italian style. One of the best trips we been on!

We loved staying in Amalfi. It was so convenient to all cities on the Amalfi Coast. We recommend taking a ferry to Sorrento for lunch, then Positano for dinner. The next day go to Capri via ferry. Also save a day to go the beach at Conca de Marini. The restaurants there will send a boat to Amalfi and pick you up for free. You spend the day at the beach in front of the restaurant and soak in the sun, enjoy a great lunch, return to the sun for an afternoon nap or swim and then they will take you back to the Amalfi port.
Love the small town conveniently located by the seaport, which is the center of all ferries and buses. Easy bus ride from the port to Bomerano for Path of Gods hike. Took ferries from Sorrento to Positano to Amalfi to Salerno. Easy walk via a tunnel to the next town of Atrani of old world charm. Beautiful, crystal clear water to swim in. Free beach right next to private ones. Only dislike is that the center was often overcrowded, which is why we escaped to the neighboring town of Atrani to eat and explore.
As one of Amalfi cost place issue ☝️Is with parking be really patiently and calm to find NOT a easy at all recovery will be at your shoulder to lift your car, ⚠️Main problem is Petrol station like 20min away either side of the city😲, I did drive 650km and reached Amalfi with petrol just for 30km range in tank 😅and to realised NO petrol station 🤬… “ Here is the particular point of view I did drive all way to Amalfi in one go as I am usually do END to FULL, I am not person to stop and lose 10-15min every day to refill the tank and don’t like to refill 5 litres or 5€. I didn’t expect to highlight shocking news. Parking spaces is another major issue €5/h. I rest enjoy your stay as you usually do…🥳😂🤭
We will definitely return to the Amalfi Coast. Numerous local activities with very easy transportation alternatives. The entire area is fantastic, locals are very friendly and willing to help in all respects.
Cute little town with a lot of lovely restaurants and beautiful sea view. Walk down to the sea and look up for the perfect overview over Amalfi, even by night time its romantic. Best gluten free / lactose free pizza i have ever eaten was at Pizzeria Donna Stella. Our one night stay was wonderful even if the weather was a b it grey.
Amalfi was more down to earth than Positano so we really liked the town a lot; would also recommend Ravello and Minori which you can do both in one day, walking from Ravello down to Minori. We also did a day trip to Capri which was really nice as well. The locals in Amalfi and surrounding were really sweet and friendly. We also went to Sorrento and Salerno but they were your typical cities, Sorrento with more things to see than Salerno. You can also do a quick trip out to Pompeii for just a couple of hours and that’s enough for the ancient city.
Amalfi
Even if your budget for Amalfi is really high this 11th century building with its rooms adds definitely to the flavor with its steps and infrastructure. The cute balcony is also part of the corridor and other guests might pass theough your balcony for the exit but in a way that does bit invade your privacy. The rooms were very clean, cleaned daily. The host was the most polite person we met in Amalfi, booked transfers and gave valuable advice, easing our way through the chaos of the coast. Dear Giuseppe, thank you!
Absolutely Tremendous views, and the terrace that is private to the building on top was breathtaking, I could have spent all day there! Room was comfortable, kitchen had enough pots and pans and utensils to cook in if you wanted, shower was good with plenty of hot water. Again the views were spectacular and worth the price alone for that. A few stairs to climb to get to it, but you are on the Amalfi coast! The walk to the harbor down the stairs took maybe 5 minutes is all.
Amalfi
Nice small B&B hotel 10 minutes drive away from Amalfi up in the mountains. So you have a fantastic view on the coastline if you have a room with seaview. Otherwise you have the same nice view from the breakfast room. Room was quite small and basic, but clean. Hotel is surrounded by a small lemon tree garden. Parking is available against a surcharge, but necessary as parking is a real issue along the whole Amalfi coast.
Amalfi
Superb customer service! Very easy to get from main piazza . The owner was really friendly explaining us all the details about things to do around the city. The building is very beautiful and pristine. Rooms are very spacious and modern, heater and AC available. Breakfast was delicious much better than the traditional european/continental breakfast. Definitely I recommend this hotel to stay in Amalfi
Amalfi
We felt we had an authentic Amalfi experience staying in this charming apartment. The location is amazing... right next to the Amalfi cathedral and the square. The harbor, and bus stop are just blocks away. It was super quiet and peaceful. Thank you to the host for allowing us to check in a few hours early! If you get a chance, do the waterfall hike up to Pontone for beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast.
Amalfi
We loved the location of this hotel. At first, it is a bit worrisome when we realized we were on the side of the road, but the beautiful terrace and view of the harbor and then quick proximity to Duomo Square quickly made up for the "lack of an entrance". The hotel staff were warm and friendly and eager to accommodate. Thank you for an enjoyable holiday on the Amalfi Coast!!
Amalfi
This is a great apartment in a great location in Amalfi town. The apartment was clean and the location was very accessible. Francesco and Walter were great hosts. Walter met us as we got off our ferry and brought us up to the property. He was very helpful. We would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to visit Amalfi town and to explore the Amalfi coast.
This is the best hotel on the entire Amalfi Coast. They have converted a 500 year old Capuchin monastery into a modern luxury hotel, preserving some of the character of the former monastic residence. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful, elite even among luxury hotels in this category. Francesca at the front desk was especially wonderful.
Amalfi
Villa Maria was my favorite hotel during the stay around Amalfi Coast. The staff was nice and prepared, the location is great - close to a bus stop or parking lot so you can get to other towns in the area. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathtub was nice and relaxing. And the breakfast by the terrace was my favorite part.
This is the best hotel in the heart of Amalfi '; Gennaro and his team did the best to help us and response with every issue. the room was extraordinary ; bed and pillows was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. highly recommend this hotel to all who visit in Amalfi coast. Great experience- we will never forget it.
The views from every part of the hotel were the most incredible views I’ve ever seen! The room was large and the balcony was very spacious. The pool and beach area were amazing and unique. Wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to Amalfi center which was very convenient and helpful.
Amalfi
