United StatesFantastic location. Free parking nearby. Room was a good size, but hotel, in general, very outdated. The front desk staff, namely Nacho, was so helpful and welcoming. I would stay there again just because of the service he provided...calling a restautrant to find us a reservation on a busy night...and giving us suggestions. He was wonderful!!! Also, really can't beat the location!

We wanted a smaller, quieter town with some historic interest and Asti was exactly that. We thoroughly enjoyed being there. We spent two days investigating Asti and its museums, which was about right. The station also gave easy access for a day in Genoa.

People are patient and friendly.
People are patient and friendly. There is a wide variety of food available. We were there at a busy time, but were still able to do most of the things we wanted. The Saturday market is incrdible and the winestreet tasting ecent was a.lot of fun and a good way to get familiar with the area, aswe stayed in the historic centre.

People (drivers included), in both towns and cities, are courteous and helpful even if Italian is not spoken.
Extensive road network although narrow in smaller towns.
Many tourist attractions, especially cultural, such as museums, art galleries. Vineyards abound in the region, where Ruché is the indigenous grape. Vineyards are welcoming however check pricing and book in advance.

A comfortable place, right in the middle of Asti, every detail to make the stay pleasant, was included. Even a treat for our little dog was awaiting her. For us humans a chilled bottle of Asti Muskat and wine was waiting. This was no « welcome routine » but a genuine Welcome. Asti is a friendly place, lots of good places to eat ( our host send us to a restaurant which offered incredible food and exceptional service), traffic free walks, great shopping, just a perfect place.
