We have just returned from spending 5 wonderful days here. Claudia was such a lovely hostess! Even ensuring we still had breakfast despite an early checkout. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Air con was very welcomed on hot sunny days. Outside pool and garden was great with a fantastic viewpoint. The location was perfect for us. We used the local bus stops (10 minutes away) to visit Verona and Garda. Thank you to Claudia and her family once again.

Chris is an amazing host. She was very communicative, kind, and very accommodating. I also love that she uses eco-friendly products and is trying to convert many of the fixtures, practices, etc. to eco-friendly in their use. It is only an 8 minute walk to the lake. I came in the off season so I got to see the town putting up Christmas decorations around the lakeside, including pop up market stalls, all of which were decked out in Christmas fare. The whole town looked like it was going to be really cool. There is even a huge light show on the side of the mountain. I recommend Ancora and Mottino Garda for a yummy, fancy, yet homemade tasting but not terribly expensive lunch/dinner. There is also a supermarket within a 6 or 7 minute walk. The one thing I would suggest is that you really plan out how you’re going to get from Peschiera del Garda train station to Saoo. Chris is very good about giving you the options. It’s best not to drive. Have a great trip because you can’t beat Chris and Saoo.
