This hotel was a very enjoyable stop in our trip to Calabria. The bed was firm but very comfortable. The air conditioning made it very pleasant. Fantastic accommodations. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We wanted a convenient and good place for dinner and Vito recommended the pizza restaurant across the street. It did not disappoint! I highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant

The villa and our apartment were amazing: everything in the apartment is new, of the highest quality, with a nice design, there is everything you need for a comfortable week-long family holiday. Villa is located in a quiet agricultural region, there are no noisy tourist streets, loud bars and restaurants nearby, and it is an area mainly for locals. If you like busy tourist areas - this is not the place for you. It is a unique place for a mindful and relaxing stay, with a wonderful room view of plains and mountains. And at the same time, it is just 6 minutes by walk to the sea with numerous well-equipped beach clubs and public beaches. A supermarket is also 5 min by walk from the villa. Rosario, the manager of the villa, was a big part of our comfort. He provides excellent service, he is very helpful, always online and responsive. Rosario provided us with a transfer from/to Salerno d'Amalfi airport and helped with a car rental. Be aware that there are almost no places to go nearby by walk, except beach clubs, so I highly recommend to rent a car. We went to Isola Verde Aquapark, Battipaglia (with its best Italian mozzarella "Zizzona"), Salerno and Amalfi Coast. But Rosario can also provide a transfer to selected locations if needed.

Tenuta Fasanarella provides very comfortable accommodation! We liked our room (Avocado - all rooms have their own names) - spacious and clean, with very convenient lighting. We liked the dining area - it is used during breakfast as well as a place to sit quitly in the evening with a glass of wine. All photos on Booking and in Google are true - there is a small swimming pool (which we used), tennis playground (we did not use, but other guests did), the place is surrounded with avocado and kiwi plantation... Cat lovers can find some cats around, some of them don't afraid people :) And, staff's dog is friendly, too. The place is very quiet (especially, when a moon shed lights down the warm italian night) and charming). Special thanks to our hosts Katerina and Alena! They do everything to make us feel even better than at home.

Battipaglia is a city with a pulse!

Battipaglia is a city with a pulse! On the weekends the streets are teaming with people. Young and old flock to the many outdoor places for food and drink. There are tons of shops for those who love that activity as part of their trip. Exceptional coffee and Ground Zero for foodies who want to taste the true mozzarella di Buffalo you can put this on your list. This is the heart of this region. Between the pastries and the mozzarella it is a real eating adventure. Battipaglia is a relatively new city constructed after WWII. It is a bit gritty and doesn't have the glitz and glitter of Tuscany or other large cities that have managed to "dress up" for the tourist trade, but if you want to experience THE SOUTH it's worth the trip. 2-3 days in Battipaglia is an adequate stay for tourists. Freccia Rossa, the Italian high speed train now goes directly to Battipaglia. You can walk off the train and in a block's distance you find yourself literally in the heart of the city. You won't need a car and its proximity by boat to the Amalfi Coast is truly a great plus. In good weather it's a wonderful excursion to see Amalfi from the sea.

Excellent location, full of good pizzerias and restaurants. Also a good base for visiting the Paestum archaeological park, the majestic Alburni mountains, Agropoli and its gulf, and a delicious visit to the many excellent dairies in the area, specializing in buffalo milk.

I chose this property because it's strategically located for visiting Paestum, Salerno, Vietri/Cetara, and the Certosa di Padula, all of which are within a half-hour drive. The property was welcoming, easily accessible, and offers excellent parking. I will definitely return.

A lively city during the day, much less so at night.

A lively city during the day, much less so at night. It doesn't offer much in the way of nightlife; you have to travel a few kilometers to find many. It's in an excellent location for reaching several tourist attractions, while still enjoying a peaceful stay. For pizza lovers, "Carmine 2," just a few steps from the hotel, is the best.

A good place to stop while passing through, close to the highway and 20 minutes from the archaeological site of Paestum. The buffalo mozzarella is excellent, and there are numerous dairies and shops open even on Sundays.

The coastal area has incredible potential.

The coastal area has incredible potential. Unfortunately, it's almost entirely untapped. It's a crime, and there are clear political responsibilities. It could be among the most beautiful coastlines in Europe... instead, it's abandoned, piled high with garbage. With "Romagna-style" management, it would be the best.

The hotel is next to the buffalo mozzarella shop which we wanted to return to. The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. She knew we had stayed several times previously. This hotel is a welcome refuge for us after several long journeys, and we hope to return.

On all my trips to Europe, We always use this hotel. as our first hotel stop. Very good breakfast . Super clean. Excellent service and best of all a good safe garage with lift access to reception and the room. I thank all the staff for the great care and welcome.

It’s a relatively big proper hotel, with most facilities (pool, restaurant, dry cleaning, reception). It’s on one of the main roads about 8-10 minutes by cab from the train station. Breakfast is nice and staff were friendly.
