People need to be aware of the complicated mode of transport...
People need to be aware of the complicated mode of transport to arrive from the airport to the hotel unless you hire a car or get a taxi which is 175 euros each way. Airport shuttle bus which only leaves 1 per hour and takes 25-30 minutes to get to Milan central station. Then a train to Como San Giovanni train station which takes 40 minutes and leaves every hour. Then either a bus which takes 30-40 minutes depending on traffic and departures are sporadic or the ferry which is a good 15-20 minute walk from the station and takes 44 minutes but those departures are not frequent in any way shape or form. Carate Urio is not very walkable. The street is narrow and very busy. There are limited transit options, with the city bus and boat taxi running at long intervals. Taxis are not easy to obtain due to local ordinances.
