The property was designed by an architect, and the organic products in the kitchen were the best I’ve ever had. Believe me, the taste of the products was completely different. On top of that, the owner was so kind, providing me with all the information I asked about the island and the local experience. At the end, she even gave me a tour of her farm, where all of those organic products come from.

Sofía was a great hostess and made me feel at home. The house is in a quiet area of town. I could walk to the store for supplies. The road in and out of Sortino is right there, making transportation a breeze. It's just very homey there, I was sad to leave. Again, Sofía, the proprietress, went out of her way to care about me and I really appreciated that since I have no Italian fluency.

B&B Akrai is centrally located. My room had a small balcony and a window looking directly over piazza del Popolo and facing San Sebastián. The view was perfect. There was good WiFi signal in my room. A small breakfast is served in a cafe in the piazza, circa 25 meters from the B&B. The host, Leonardo, was very helpful. I would describe the accommodation as basic, but this is normal in a provincial town, and the price was very reasonable.
