Offering an outdoor pool and views of the pool, Agriturismo Villa La Palazzetta is set in Castiglione d’Orcia. Each room includes a flat-screen TV. This place is wonderful! Charming house and pool. The owner Elvis and his wife go above and beyond! The food was great and they are so friendly and accommodating! They made our stay! Elvis gives great advice for sight seeing in the area. We had a lovely dinner here one night-they played records and put flowers on the table-it was so charming. It was our favorite of all the places we stayed in our trip to Italy.

Castiglione dʼOrcia
Located in Castiglione dʼOrcia, 20 miles from Mount Amiata, Affittacamere Albafiorita has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities. The host made exceptional coffee and omelette, was very kind. The kitchen was spotlessly clean, as everything else. The location is perfect for Val d'Orcia.
The BnB was well located just inside the city walls, perched on the edge presenting wonderful views of the hilly countryside. It was small — 3 rooms - and comfortable with a delightful if small garden. We enjoyed an evening ritual wine sipping at a garden table that overlooked that view. Our host Sylvia was warm and friendly.
A touch of Tuscan beauty nestled amongst its own Vineyards and olive groves in the valley of D’Orcia. Owner Angela, lives on the property and ensured that anything we wanted was there for us. Short drive to village with restaurants, supermarket & shops. Every day for 2 weeks we travelled to a surrounding village, mainly fortress hilltop villages, all with their own special offerings. A truly amazing experience.
Castiglione d'Orcia is nothing very special, a nice place to see some old historical buildings and have a drink in the local bar. But it is indeed a good starting point to discover other places in val d'orcia like Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, San Quirco, etc.
Podere Perelli has almost surreal beauty, it offers a charming vista which demonstrates why the region of Val d’Orcia is a UNESCO site - endless rolling hills dotted with the iconic cypress trees and haystacks. The host, Carlo, makes you feel like you are home. And as the Tuscan sun sets on that magnificent landscape, we are regret not being able to stay longer. I will not hesitate to recommend this home away from home.
Its a quiet, small hilltop village. Great base if you wish to go and sight see. Lovely restaurants and enough 'facilities' to enjoy a week's stay. Great restaurant, Cisterna nel Borgo. Great food, excellent catering for gluten free diet. Marta, owner, couldnt have been more helpful.
The hotel was lovely and set in a very peaceful area. Well placed for small local day trips to visit some wonderful towns and villages.. One of the biggest surprises was the village just 2 km away. Food at the hotel was fantastic as was the choice of wines. It was possible to go walking and cycling but we chose to use our hire car as time was short. There are many lovely places to visit within a 20 minute drive. Can then come back to enjoy the pool and garden.
Castiglione dʼOrcia
This place is incredible. Located in the middle of the Val'd'Orcia with magnificent scenery all around. The hotel/restaurant is located in the center of a medieval village that sits atop a hill with a medieval castle standing guard . The rooms of the hotel were very comfortable, clean and spacious. You are treated like royalty by the owner and her staff. And the restaurant, some of the best food in Tuscany with wonderful ambiance. Our entire stay was like living in a history book.
Castiglione dʼOrcia
The property is a fancy small hotel in the middle of Tuscanian fields. We went in October, so unfortunately we could not use the swimming pool in the middle of the garden, which overlooks those fields Staff was super nice (they also upgraded our room) and the room was amazing (it even had a fireplace!) Dinner at their restaurant is well recommended and their wine list is quite astonishing
Castiglione dʼOrcia
Best place I stayed in all of Italy. Location is phenomenal, right in heart of most beautiful region in Tuscany (Val D'Orcia), view overlooking a valley. Despite being on a farm, the room and living area and bathroom was much nicer than the average of all the other hotels we saw in the cities. The dinner is lovely too. The owners are super friendly and helpful.
Lovely small hotel with a nice territory and great restaurant, very conveniently located right across the thermal waters and hiking routes. Very nice and helpful staff, which was such a great difference to the snobbish Adler hotel employees. I have to mention Zorro, he totally made my day.
Castiglione dʼOrcia
A house is situated in a beautiful square. From the terrace you can see the square with a fountain and typical Tuscan countryside. The small town of Castiglione dʼOrcia is really picturesque. There is a small shop and cafe just next door.
