Probably one of the most favourite places we have stayed. A very quiet relaxing environment with views of rolling mountains and fruit trees. The restaurant was beyond delicious and had all the food and products made in house. We were able to walk through the orchard and visit all the animals on the farm. Staff were so kind and welcoming.

A very large and very modern apartment which was spotlessly clean. It looked new and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything there including a stove for cooking if you wanted to. The bed was large and comfortable. The bedroom was well stocked with extra pillows and bedding. The unit is right in the central storico near a general store and close to all the bars and restaurants.

The room is a small new free standing structure with a small living area, kitchenette, and very nice bathroom and shower. The bedroom is a loft. The room is very comfortable. The location is a working olive/olive oil masseria, with several other occupied homes, including a beautiful main house, surrounded by 5,000 olive trees, including some of the oldest and largest that I've ever seen. No xylella in Calabria, so the olive trees are healthy and beautiful. There's a washing machine at the room.The gate to the property features a wonderful view of the ancient city of Gerace and is only 600 meters from the town of Locri and 300 meters from the hospital, so it's the country in the city. I was told by one of the permanent residents that there is a frantoio behind the main house, but I did not see it. The room is surrounded by a lush, beautiful lawn of St Augustine grass, perfect for sunbathing and evening drinks.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The hostess, Francesca, is very warm and engaging. On my first night, after returning from dinner in Gerace, I found the hostesses family outdoors enjoying the evening on their lovely patio. I sat down with them and we talked for an hour and had a grappa and great conversation. That night I found that my bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in in all of my time in Italy. The next morning I had a wonderful breakfast on the terrace enjoying the Bella Vista, which overlooks the coastal towns + the Sea. I found myself wishing that I had booked several more nights.
