This is a new hotel so the facilities are very updated and clean. You are able to ski on/ski off from the location which is rare in Cortina. The staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The spa facilities were the best I’ve seen in cortina. Good was excellent for breakfast and dinner.

The rooms are gorgeous here, comfy and spacious, theres a Beautiful balcone with amazing views of the Mountain. We sai a family of deer walking by lat at night. The restaurant is one of , if not the best in Cortina. Breakfast,linch and dinner are tasty and served impeccably.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Gaia, an alpine inspired, family run accommodation a short distance from the center of Cortina. Our hosts helped us find some activities for our stay and made some restaurant recommendations. We would stay here again.

Everything was well appointed with a very comfortable room. The bed was wonderful with an amazing view. We love that it is just enough away from the busy downtown. What a hidden gem , that I’m sure will not be that way for long. There’s a trail just past the property that we took a walk on after dinner our first night. Great views of the surrounding area. The restaurant was absolutely wonderful and the service was first class .

    Cortina is a good central location to use as a base for...

    Cortina is a good central location to use as a base for attractions in the region. It is known as quite an exclusive resort but we didn't find food and restaurant prices any higher that other Dolomite resorts. It is busy with lots of traffic which flows through the centre of the town. There are much prettier and quieter holiday towns and villages - especially in the Val Gardena area.

    This place was amazing!

    This place was amazing! Great location to begin any hikes at the Rifugio Auronzo. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very cleanly & the facilities were good. Parking access was plentiful and very easy. We are breakfast & dinner there with plenty of options and everything very well made. We would definitely stay here again.

    Corina d Ampezzo is a great base to go to the Dolomites and nearby regions. Plenty of shops and easily accessible by public transport. Lovely villages in the surrounding area. Cortina has a stunning natural beauty, a rich culture, and you can do a wide range of activities:.we visited in July for hiking. The town is not too big and so we were able to explore most of it on foot. Definitely recommend a visit.

    Cortina d'Ampezzo was a nice little town.

    Cortina d'Ampezzo was a nice little town. I would avoid in now honestly because of all the construction going on for the Olympics. Walkable roads blocked off for construction so makes it hard to navigate the town. The huge cranes and construction vehicles everywhere impacts what would be a charming town

    The most spectacular hikes are nearby.

    The most spectacular hikes are nearby. It’s difficult to get around without a rental car and very expensive to hire taxis. The bus service wasn’t great bc it was low season. There is a ton of construction going on for the Olympics. La Perla and el rotunda were great local restaurants in the town center. The hike to Lago sorprisi was spectacular!

    Everywhere you look in the town, you are surrounded by the imposing and beautiful mountains. TOP TIP - be warned if you are visiting in early May it is very quiet (a good thing!) BUT many of the shops and restaurants are closed as this is the 'shoulder' period between the skiing season and walking season.

    It was a comfortable and cozy hotel; we had a lovely little room and balcony, too! The temperature was around 0, but if it was sunny, we enjoyed the sun on the balcony. The sun is intense in Italy, so it was so hot we just sat there in bikinis :) Most importantly, of course, the entire staff was outstanding! Excellent hospitality and many good recommendations for the whole area. Thank you!! The city center is within walking distance!

    Hotel is old and has certain charm. Even though the rooms are run down, they are cleaned twice a day to make up for it. Everything is squeaky clean. Hotel staff is very polite and attentive which is not a common thing in Italy. This is a big plus. The coffee at breakfast is the best one we ever had anywhere. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. Not 4* quality, more like 2-3.

    The Hotel Olimpia is a nice and affordable hotel in (/@) the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo. However, the coffee machine and the jacuzzi did not work properly. Finally the hotel doesn't have printed (logo, address) keycards. For 70 years of Olympic rings ... Best regards Klaus' 'FIAT' lux

    The rooms are charming and in mountain style, clean and tidy. The hotel is in an excellent location, at the beginning of the promenade and near the Tofane ski lift. Brekfast was excellent, the staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend it.
