United StatesThis is a very comfortable hotel in a perfect location, 20 meters from the entrance to the pedestrian zone of the historical district. The family that runs this hotel has thought of so many little things, from two luggage racks per room, to wonderful heavy ironed sheets, to very classy bathrooms, and there is secure parking (for a fee). It made a great base for a day walking around Cuneo, enjoying the restored 15th and 16th century buildings and eating some great Piemonte food. If we go through Cuneo again, this is definitely where we will stay.

We arrived by train at a beautiful but mostly abandoned train station (unfortunate because it is a beauty!!)
Town is on a surfboard-shaped plateau with beautiful bridges that access it by car or train. I did a walk around the whole plateau and was awe-struck by the beautiful old buildings and surrounding valleys.
Plenty of coffee shops and cafes/restaurants if you don't want to eat at your hotel.
So glad to have made the overnight stop here on our way from Turin to Menton by train.

The place is packed with history walking through main street put you back in time. Explore the little side streets and having a hard time to decide where to have lunch or dinner.
The weekly street market is something you don't want to miss.
In short ; a city not very well known, but you don't want to miss. (Except for the parking, which is a problem in all old cities)

There is a great range of restaurants, pizzerias, and aperitif bars. The evolution of the cityscape and restoration project work on the centre city buildings are well explained in plaques with EN text. The arcaded streets and hand-laid cobbled streets are a joy.

We had a great breakfast every morning with very friendly staff. The hotel is in a perfect area to see Cuneo. It is right off the main shopping/walking street (Via Roma).
