Velvendere square is 10minutes from bus stop and 20min from bus station. Enna is a beautiful and historic city, in a spectacular hilltop location with stunning views. We found it a very friendly town, with very few tourists in March. It can be very cold even then, when windy, so pack warm clothes. Enna is wonderful and cooler than other parts of Sicily...
Enna is wonderful and cooler than other parts of Sicily because it's so high up. It is not as touristy as, say, Agrigento, so you get a better sense of actual Sicilian life. There is an amazing cemetery, the size of an entire town, a little gem of an archaeology museum, a geological park that is the supposed site of the rape of Persephone (there is evidence that this was an indigenous myth adopted by the Greeks), lots of excellent walking opportunities, and a wonderful literary cafe, Al Kenisa, in an old church with a catacomb you can visit as you have your Aperol Spritz (just mind the stairs!). Another wonderful place for an aperitivo, Bar Delizia, on the square in front of the Duomo. They serve incredible aroncini. Finally: Avoid it in the summer. Even here it's broiling in late June, July and August. April or October would be the perfect time to visit Sicily.Guest review byMary KayeUnited States

There were two double rooms, a kitchen/ dining, and a bathroom. Both rooms were spacious. It was good to have a table in the kitchen/dining where four of us sat, enjoyed chatting and making plans, while sipping wine. Enna is a very good place to stay to visit Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armelina.
