The best part of our trip to Sicily was staying in Favignana for a couple of nights. I would say that 3 nights would have been perfect. I highly recommend renting your own boat and renting bikes to explore the island as much as possible.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this place. It was a very friendly environment, and unlike the main island, there was no trash littering the area. It was great to see that the main mode of transportation there was by bicycles. The food was also great, but it was a bit overpriced.

You can rent bikes, electric ones if it's too hot. They are available at several locations. The prices are reasonable and you can travel the entire island.
The water is clean and it is worth stopping here for a day.

I absolutely loved Favignana and truly wish I had stayed at...
I absolutely loved Favignana and truly wish I had stayed at least four nights to fully appreciate the beauty and charm of this incredible island. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and just enjoy life by the sea.
Getting around is a breeze—renting a bike is the perfect way to explore. The island is small enough to navigate easily, yet full of diverse landscapes and hidden spots waiting to be discovered. What really took my breath away was the water—crystal clear and painted in the most vibrant shades of blue I’ve ever seen. It’s almost unreal.
One thing to note: many of the beaches have sharp rocks that you’ll need to walk over to reach the water. It’s a small price to pay for such pristine conditions, but water shoes might be a good idea!
Another highlight was the hike up to Castello di Santa Caterina. The climb is worth every step—on the way up, you're rewarded with panoramic views that stretch across the island and out to the sea. And when you finally reach the castle, even in its weathered state, it's absolutely stunning. There's something incredibly powerful about standing in such a historic place, surrounded by silence and sky.
Favignana is so much more than a quick stop on a day trip. If you're planning to visit, give yourself time to breathe it in. You won’t regret it.

Favignana is a great Island to visit just off the coast of...
Favignana is a great Island to visit just off the coast of Trapani, only 30 minutes by hydrofoil. You can hire bikes to get around the island, lots of little coves and beaches. The main port town is beautiful and lively on the main street with lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. The accommodation is very central and less than a 10 minute walk from the port.

We spent four wonderful days at beautiful Favignana, a real gem. A really laid back island feeling. On rental bikes we explored the entire island. Everywhere views to the bluest sea, and swimming in crystal clear water.
We enjoyed great local food in some of the many restaurants.

The location is very convenient (close to the heart of Favignana village, the port, and just in front of the sea. The hotel structure is very elegant and clean. The staff is exceptionally kind and ready to help. The transfer to Lido Burrone organised by the hotel is very convenient. The breakfast is excellent. It is a tribute to Sicilian pastry, really to die for. The salty options are also very good, tasty focaccias and panini that won’t disappoint anyone.

The location, front desk service, swimming pool, and all the amenities available at the hotel. That was perfect. The staff by the pool and bar were also wonderful and friendly. I chose this hotel for relaxation after an intense sightseeing tour, and in this regard, it was excellent.
In the end, it probably makes up for some of the shortcomings the hotel has, but whether it’s worth the price or truly deserves four stars is up to individual judgment.

The apartment is superb, very new, clean and stylish. The location is ideal, central and close to all the shops, bars, restaurants yet still quiet. Yet the stand-out for us was Monica, the host, who allowed us to arrive early, personally showed us places to eat, shop, hire bikes etc and was so friendly and helpful it was like having a personal guide. The whole Favignana trip was a wonderful experience. Thankyou Monica!

We stayed one night only, our last in Favignana. Central, close to the port, clean and basic property. We didn’t meet the owner but check in and out over the phone were smooth. Breakfast with voucher for coffee and pastry in a nearby bar.
