    Fiesole has many sites to explore with its fantastic amphitheatre, monastery and cathedral. It has some excellent restaurants and local shops. We loved the Snooty Fox with its delicious authentic Italian food, Terrazza with its roof terrace with amazing views over Florence, Pizzeria Buca delle Fate, Ristorante BISTROT AL 5. Anyone who likes hiking in between city visits, will find some beautiful nature walks.

    Fiesole is a must for visitors to Tuscany.

    Fiesole is a must for visitors to Tuscany. This small hill top town is a peaceful place to stay outside Firenze. The best restaurant is Has an outdoor terrace it’s on the right as you arrive into the piazza. The hotel we stayed at was FH55 villa Fiesole. I highly recommend this hotel.

    Fiesole is a small, peaceful town just above Florence, where you can take in incredible views of the city and the rolling Tuscan hills. It’s the kind of place where time slows down—a quiet walk, a coffee in a sunny piazza, ancient ruins tucked between trees. The local museum, right next to a Roman amphitheater and Etruscan remains, is small but full of character—just enough to give you a sense of how deep the history runs here. It feels local, lived-in, and just far enough from the crowds to breathe.

    The countryside of Fiesole is beautiful.

    The countryside of Fiesole is beautiful. Hotel and needs updating. Some damp on walls in bedroom, a/c has to be climatized by reception and is on a timer. Windows in bedroom too high to get so unable to open them. We had to sleep with our main bedroom door open one night as it was hot and stuffy. Pool area was lovely, despite no bar anywhere nearby you have to walk up to main building to get drinks or snacks which have to be paid then. Basically no tab!! Only positive thing was the fish restaurant up the road, highly recommend this it was a fantastic meal!! We booked this hotel as a pit stop as we were heading down south from Croatia. Didn’t realise it was a 2* and definitely not 2* prices. Way overpriced if so. Expected something much better for the proscenium we paid.

    Fiesole is a picturesque town within the hills of Tuscany, it has excellent transport links to the city of Florence, and hiking routes for those that love walking. There are good restaurants, although we found getting a taxi back to our hotel in the evening sometimes a problem. Despite restaurant staff trying to call for us. The view point with views over Florence is spectacular.

    The purpose our visit to Fiesole was to celebrate our friend's birthday whom we had not seen for years. We had never heard of Fiesole, but they were staying there for a 3 week holiday (from Canada) and so we joined them with zero expectations. Fiesole was absolutely lovely, and frankly two days was not enough. We ate very well at local restaurants and visited the lovely Franciscan monastery on top of the hill, which is well worth a look. An incredible museum with Chinese coins dating back to the 100AC (!) and an Egyptian mummified kitten amongst other extremely old antiquities! Was not expecting that LOL! View of Florence is spectacular from Fiesole, and to think you are in a small little quiet 'village' just 20 mins drive away.

    We arrived in Fiesole from Hungary, which is an elegant small town next to Florence, which has always been the villa quarter of the Florentines. The apartment is in a safe and beautiful location, close to the center of the town. It is nice clean and very well equipped, there is also a washing machine, dishwasher and oven. The car can be parked in a secure courtyard. Florence can be reached in half an hour by bus. Absolute 10 :) We will return. Szilvia and László from Hungary

    A bright spacious and comfortable place to stay. Very peaceful looking out over the beautiful countryside. This accommodation is immaculate! Beds and pillows super comfy, two great bathrooms. A fantastic location only a short bus ride from Fiesole to Florence. Lovely restaurants nearby. Our host Duccio gave clear instructions and was in regular touch making sure everything was ok. I very highly recommend Gladys’s apartment!

    A nice place in a beautiful location. The mobile homes were comfortable. We didn't want to stay directly in Florence and this was a great alternative. There is a shuttle service to the bus stop in Fiesole, the bus ride to Florence takes around 30 minutes.

    The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely view of the hills from the window. Fiesole has some great neighbourhood restaurants and the view over Florence must be one of the best views in the world!

    Good space, large bathroom & big comfortable bed. Close to the main square in the centre of Fiesole where there are a couple of restaurants & bars & the Roman amphitheatre. Easy to get a no 7 bus down to Florence if wanted.
