An Italian Masterpiece

Best-known for the stunning Duomo, Florence is full of amazing buildings and its historic center. The Ponte Vecchio, a 14th-century bridge holding a multitude of shops on its edges is a stunning example and provides a truly unforgettable view.

Dig into more of the city’s historical past at the Basilica of Santa Croce, a Franciscan church full of great artwork and the burial place of Italian greats: Michelangelo and Galileo. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s finest art museums and the Pitti Palace is not far behind.

For great dining, the Santa Croce district has countless options and the unique lampredotto is Florentine fast-food with a 1000-year old history. Many consider the local gelato, Italian ice-cream, to be the best in the world.

The beauty and flavours of Florence are just a 15-minute train ride from the Amerigo Vespucci International Airport. Whether you’re looking for a room with a view at a cosy B&B, a luxury hotel or an intimate guesthouse, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Florence adventure.

    The leather market was poor.

The leather market was poor. The vendors are selling cheap junk mostly from India. The good leather products are tucked away in the shops that you can’t see because they are blocked by the street stalls. These vendors were rude if you chose not to buy and used bait and switch pricing tactics.

There is just something about Florence that cannot be captured in words. If you are a connoisseur of art and history, then Florence is a must. From museums to shops to artists in the piazza, you can find something that speaks to you. Street artists engage and share their work, will discuss inspiration, and understand technique. From Florence, navigating to Tuscany wineries, the seaside, Rome, Bologna, or Venice is a breeze. So much to see, do, and a fantastic culinary experience. Enjoy. Arrivederci

Florence was a lovely experience to enjoy.

Florence was a lovely experience to enjoy. Everything is very compact so you can get around very easily. Just be aware of the traffic as the streets are narrow and the pavements small so you do end up walking in the roads to pass others. Lots of places to eat and drink and if you like shopping you can do that also. If you like exercise with a nice view at the end, walking up the Duomo is 463 steps and the Bell Tower is 414 steps. But once you are at the top there are some wonderful views across Florence so well worth it even if the legs feel tired the next day. Getting around there are plenty of trams and buses but just be aware you need to have a valid and validated ticket as the inspectors do not accept any excuses.

Florence is amazing with so many places to visit.

Florence is amazing with so many places to visit. We found some smaller museums that were great to visit and not busy at all. The Dante's Casa museum was a great surprise. The interactive Leonardo DaVinci museum is a must see. Watch out for pickpockets and opportunistic crimes. I was surprised with all the beggars and street people in the Old Town but they mostly left you alone. Train station is close to the Old Town and very easy to go on Day trips to Pisa etc.

Location is perfect, close to the train station and basically walking distance to all the attractions. Marco is very friendly, he helped to carry the luggage to my room upstairs, also shared many information to explore the city. There is shared kitchen with all the essentials you need, the room is spacious and bed is comfortable, personally I like the powerful shower and fast drying hair dryer, it's the best shower I enjoyed throughout my whole Italy trip, will definitely recommend Marco's way if you visiting Florence.

It’s one of the best houses where I stayed in Italy! It’s in the very beautiful territory where you can feel the Tuscany nature despite the fact that you’re in a city. The house is very beautiful, spacious and clean. There are so many small details that make you feel that you’re home and not in the hotel! The owner is very friendly, helpful and nice person. The house is good connected with the center of city, and it’s not far. For us it was a pity that we booked it’s only for 1 night, we would stay there more!

The building used to be a family home. It is beautiful! The room is spacious and very comfortable The neighborhood is beautiful, too! Not far from the city center, but away from the buzz enough that you feel you are at the countryside of Tuscany. There is a parking lot Breakfast is good and the staff is ready to help in any way they can! And there is an elevator, which may not be common in hotels in Italy I give it a 10!

Would highly recommend this place!! This hotel really should have more starts - it’s completely not what you usually get for 3 stars in Italy! The room was perfect, the atmosphere was amazing (huge shout out to the stuff!!!!) and the local is simply perfect. I’ll definitely be staying there next time I’m in Florence and already have told all my friends about Zanobi 45♥️
