We booked the room at the last minute and although he was very busy, our host Simon was able to accommodate. One of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever meet. The amazing villa is peaceful and gorgeous.

This is a quintessential family owned (4th or 5th generation) inn. The facilities have all been updated and well maintained. The inn is furnished primarily with furniture from the early 20th century (not the mattresses, those are new) -- Biedermeier, art nouveau with some 1940s lighting. For a design buff it was so much fun. The common/breakfast rooms are comfortable, charming and eclectic. The breakfast was plentiful. I found myself wish we were staying longer as I want more time to hang out there and see more sights around the small town (we were hiking. la Via degli Dei).

Very pretty and traditional establishment, great food and spotless clean rooms. There is also heating in the rooms, but it could be somewhat stronger during the rainy days. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is quite good. I would recommend this place.

A beautiful location set in the hills in Barberino di Mugello, about 1.5 hours northeast of Firenze. Spacious room, pool,spa and delicious breakfast! Dinner at night, optional, was amazing! Staff was attentive and so sweet!

    Superb location in the middle of the countryside with a great pool and view. It is an old house with charm, not a 4 star hotel but comfortable enough with thick walls that help keep the heat away (stayed 4 nights). Samuel and his father are very dedicated to their guests and to the house, notably with a fantastic breakfast on a quiet, unique terrace with nice lemon trees, and ready to share tips to visit the region.
