We really felt at home at La Traversina. Super friendly staff. You should expect a warm welome as if you are visiting family in a Villa in the hilltop. The house has been in the owner's family for 300 years. An excellent place to stay if you are exploring Gavi or shopping nearby.

The host was extremely friendly and helpful. This building is beautifully restored and furnished. It is a real hidden gem in a quiet and not well-known location. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was clean and well-furnished. We enjoyed the views from all the rooms including the breakfast room and common reading room. The breakfast was a real treat with a full variety of foods and pastries. If we had known this was such a great place, we would have stayed a few more days.

    A lovely small town in the rolling hills.

    A lovely small town in the rolling hills. Nice weather and mountain view. Also easy access to nearby city like Tortona where many supermarket sells local product esp. local wine from local producers. They are very good wines with reasonable price tag. Definitely a place for wine lover. Also people there are very friendly to foreigners. Local restaurants are also good with pizza. Some winery with very good restaurant if you like to enjoy lux food. We went to La Locanda Calvignano which is very good restaurant serving with good wine from Tenuta Travaglino. Definitely a great experience you will never forget.
